Not a bad knife with a checkered back story
For $8.00 and change, this is a pretty good knife. It looks good and seems well made. As with other inexpensive pocket knives the fit of the jigged bone handle slabs where they meet the bolsters leaves something to be desired, but I've seen worse. As far as the metal work, the fit and finish are very good. The product is called an "XYZ Brands Canoe Brown Bone" and can be found under that brand on other websites. I don't know why this one is called "brown bone" the description goes on to describe it as having "burnt orange jigged bone handles". And that's pretty much what it has. I wouldn't call the slabs brown. They are much closer to burnt orange and are nice looking. The bolsters are actually a brass color, but aren't as dark as the liners. The inlay shield says "Handyman Club of America" on it. If you look it up on the internet it looks like there's an interesting "history".
