Perfect for what I need it for.
I have my generator on the cargo carrier. That is its permanent position.

Does what it should
I purchased this to haul a 28" Toro snowblower on a 2010 Tundra. The carrier assembled in minutes with no issues.I used it to clear ten driveways after a 14" snowfall last week and had minimal issues. The kit comes with the tongue support so there's no need to purchase one as Amazon recommends. I did lose one of the clevis pins on first transport because the cotter key wasn't properly bent, my mistake. I replaced both of them with nuts/bolts. Overall, it works as it should and it's very sturdy as long as the hardware is tightened well after initial assembly. The inside dimension is 30" also.

This is a very good piece of equipment and took about a half hour ...
This is a very good piece of equipment and took about a half hour to put together. A couple pointers for potential buyers, First, when assembling the bottom braces, you can place the hitch insert bar facing either side, depending if you want to load/unload on the driver's or passenger side. Second, although it works well on my Jeep Cherokee, the clearance is a bit low if where your driveway and the street meet, there is a bit of an incline, my Dodge Ram 1500 gives it better clearance. Third, the ramp slides on with welded pegs into welded sleeves, and are held in place by two small cotter pins to allow the ramp to move up and down when the two lock pins are not in place when the ramp is in transit. If you leave these pins out, you can slide the ramp on and off easily, which makes the overall unit easier to handle for one person when placing in into the receiver and storage. Even with the pins out, the ramp stay secure while loading your equipment, and the lock upper pins keep it in place while in transit. Fourth, use a ratchet strap to secure your snow blower, scooter, etc. toward the center of the carrier; this keeps the carrier from tilting.

It better fit because you can not return it!
Did not fit for the use case I had, tried to return it and was told the cost would be over $300!

Awesome customer service
These folks were great. The product came with some shipping damage to the pin that goes into the hinge, such that it would not go into the hinge because it had been damaged in shipping. I emailed them, and they responded within hours. Because I needed to transport a mobility scooter pretty soon, they sent me another one, while the UPS pick up of the damaged item was underway. They were responsive, helpful and just perfect in every way. Oh, And the product is very good quality. Heavy duty and solid. I may add a coat of rustoleum paint just to protect it a little more, but it is good quality as delivered.

Original tow bar too short.
Got this to carry rental lawn equipment. Once assembled it worked just ok. I had to replace the original tow bar because it was too short. The replacement bar cost $40 (without assembly holes). Luckily I know a mechanic to drill the holes. The bar is very heavy and would be very difficult to drill with home tools. This required me assemble the unit a second time. Also, the basket is a little tippy since it’s attached at the center point. Another issue: in order to install the pin for the receiver (I used a bolt for a more secure installation) I had to crawl under the basket. Could be unpleasant depending on where the car is parked.

For the price ($200) cant go wrong
I feel for the price it is a solid hitch basket. I had no problem building or getting my large old snowblower on and off. Attached to the hitch receiver firmly. The only issue is after 1 month, there is already rust spots on the floor but will cover will black spray paint in the summer.

2012 Durango / Cub Cadet SWE528
I bought this item specifically for hauling my snowblower in the winter but for other misc. tasks as well. First, my parents have a large driveway prolly 100 ft long by 50 ft wide. My driveway is half the size. My parents are also 65 years old so I don't want them monkey around because they feel they need to shovel. I also have 3 children at home so I don't want to spend hours shoveling, hence the blower. Anyways, I own a 2012 Dodge Durango. I installed a hitch on it and bought this steel cargo carrier for it. My Cub Cadet SWE528 fits perfectly. Maybe half an inch on each side to spare. I'm 30 and in descent shape so I can man handle this easily enough to slide it on and off. Someone older will need to rig up a system for attaching/detaching or plan to keep it attached to the vehicle. It seems to be a quality product and I anticipate it to last me a good number of years as long as I take care of it. I let it sit out in the snow all winter so I could simply back my Durango up to it and put it on without carrying it around everywhere. It does tilt side to side when you turn but that's no big deal. I don't like the hitch stabilizer that came with it because I can't get it to function correctly but I'm not going to take this hours away so it doesn't bother me. I've never used one so maybe I'm doing it wrong? The only thing I can recommend is buying a hitch extender, which raises or lowers the height of the hitch, if you drive a low riding vehicle. Even when I turn up a sorta steep street the carrier drags but it didn't damage the item. I did it 3-5 times this past winter. Its easier to turn onto the street than to take it straight/ head on. I highly recommend this item. I back my snowblower right up onto it while I walk across it and off the back of it to finish. Also, if you have poor traction with your boots/shoes you'll need to figure something out for how slippery it gets with snow on it.

Broken in less than 5 months.
If I could give this less stars I would. Delivered to me November 6th, less than 5 months ago and the welding on the hinge snapped and the other hinge is about ready to snap. For $360.00 I should have gotten more than 5 months worth out of this.
