You need good pellets to cook pizza in oven

I think, in my pizza oven, they burn up too fast. I cannot control the air flow to the pellets, so I suppose makes them burn up quickly. Have to keep a close eye on them to add more before the oven gets too cool to cook.

Love this stuff!! Gave our pizza the wood fire taste that we love!! Now I just need to figure out my crust recipe and it will be like my favorite restaurant!

Works well. High price. Picked up 20 lb name brand pellet for only $5 more than one of these 2 lb bags. Not on sale. Just at a big box store. If the other pellet doesn't work as well, I will come back and give more stars for the price. Essentially, with this size bag you will spend $3.50 on pellets for each pizza. (I made 8 pizzas with 3.8 lbs.) If Kona sells a bigger bag, maybe they have a better price. In all fairness, which I try to provide, these small bags would be easier to handle on a picnic or outing.

Burns quick and starts easy.

So overpriced, $20 for two tiny 2-pound bags. Even the 20-pound bag of high quality Ooni pellets is far, far cheaper. Lit and burned easily enough, but very, very smoky compared to higher quality pizza oven pellets. Next time we'll just buy a large bag of quality oak pellets at a local store.
