Solid product but there is a learning curve
Ive had mehndi plenty of times done by freehand but its kinda hard to come by in my area. My daughter was interested in being able to learn a little on her own and practice. I had no idea there were stencil type things. Are these as good as free hand? Heck no. But they are decent. After talking to two india women at work who said as kids and teens, using these stencils is very common. Of course for ceremony purposes free hand artists are used. There is a learning curve and cutting them down to more manageable pieces is a must. Two things to do before starting. First, if you've never had henna do a test 24-48 hours before. Usually henna is pretty well tolerated but you dont want to find out after that you are one of the few who dont. Also, the reaction can vary from brand to brand so it always a good idea to test with new brands. Henna only comes in the one color, some say orange others say brown, if you are using "black" henna that's not true henna (usually indigo plant but could be anything like coal or tar) so proceed with caution. "White" henna is also not really henna but usually better tolerated because it usually is body paint. Second, i would suggest washing and exfoliating the site where you want the henna a couple hours/day before and no lotion or products on the skin at the time of application. I would recommend an itty bitty brush (paint, makeup, etc), as small and soft bristled as you can find, for applying the henna. You want to go gently with the paste so as to not smear or have it bleed under the sticker. I found the adhesive worked very well but where there are joints (wrists, knuckles) or wrinkles, it does not stick as well so try to strategically place the sticker to avoid if possible. I think there are design elements in the stickers that are not feasible to get a clean tattoo from as they are too delicate. The vast majority of the designs are not that delicate but pick and choose what you use as you build skill level. You will also need to resource good quality henna paste or mix your own. The one flaw to these stencils is you will either need to leave the sticker on for hours or risk pulling off the henna crust. The longer that crust can sit on your skin the stronger the tattoo. I felt like i could do a decent job of applying the henna to the stencil myself on myself. Especially on the left hand (im right handed) but i think i could do an ok job on my right with my left hand if i take it slow and careful. In my pics you can see how much of the crust was left after pulling off the sticker after maybe an hour. It needed left on way longer than that. The completed tattoo pic is 2 days after the stenciling. As you can see the henna crust needed left on longer for more vibrancey. And the third pic is my daughter applying some of the henna and her cat "helping". You can see on day 2 pic where i bent my wrist and smeared the henna. There is a short window to get the henna off without it leaving a stain so must messups are going to be discovered after its too late to fix but you'll learn for next time I have found the india comminuty very open and friendly towards questions and more than willing to share info. I quizzed a cashier at a local india market about henna paste and she was more than helpful. She, and my co workers, also sugget rubbing lemon or lime juice on the completed henna as well as oil to keep it fresh. Ive done both options in the past and also done none (just normal lotion). The only real way to keep it fresh longer i found for me is to keep it dry as mush as possible and limit harsh soaps. Also remember, everyones body chemestry is different and some things work better or worse. So, after a babbling review, i suggest giving it a try. It does work as it says but with varying degrees of success until youve done it several times. Your legs are a good area to practice on since they are generally pretty straight and you can cover them up if you mess up.

Good stencils
This was my first attempt to use a stencil and I loved how well these work. They stick well to the skin and are super helpful if you're new to using henna/are not artistic. I adapted the stencil for a small part on my arm instead of down my hand so I cant say how well they work on a hand, but it worked great on my arm. Left the stencil and henna on for an hour and this photo was taken on day two. Definitely suggest leaving the stencil on until the henna dries if you're using henna. This prevented any smearing. Will be buying more designs!

Impressive variety and great quality
This Henna Tattoo Stencil Kit is a fantastic value for anyone who loves DIY body art. The set includes 12 large sheets packed with intricate Indian-inspired designs, covering hands, forearms, and other body areas. The variety of patterns is impressive — from traditional mandala and paisley motifs to floral designs — so there's something for every style and occasion. The stencils work great for multiple applications: henna paste, glitter tattoos, and airbrush work. They adhere to the skin smoothly without slipping around, which makes the application process much easier, especially for beginners. The edges are well-cut and clean, resulting in sharp, defined designs once the stencil is removed. Reusability is a big plus here. With proper care — wiping them clean after each use — the sheets hold up well over multiple sessions. The material is flexible enough to conform to curved areas like wrists and forearms without buckling. These are perfect for festivals, parties, cultural events, or just casual at-home fun. Kids and adults alike enjoy using them. The only thing to keep in mind is that the stencils work best when the skin is clean and dry before application, and pressing firmly along the edges ensures the crispest results. Overall a well-made, versatile stencil kit at a very accessible price. Highly recommend for anyone exploring henna or glitter body art.

Pretty Designs, But Not Reusable and Can Smudge Easily
The henna stencil patterns are really beautiful and have a nice variety of intricate designs. The stencils worked fairly well the first time, but the designs came out very thin and tended to smudge easily. They’re a good option if you’re short on time or want a more complex look without doing freehand work. However, they’re definitely not reusable — my mom and I tried several different ways to reuse them, but each attempt made the design come out messy or uneven. Overall, they’re a convenient, one-time-use option with lovely patterns, but not ideal if you’re hoping for durability or multiple uses.

It worked well just the finger part I had to cut because it was too close together (also the henna I have I got it from Amazon)
