I got this to replace the oem battery inside my wii u zelda gamepad and it was very easy to install and works as it should. My kids say it lasts as long as the original battery did.

Easy to install and they even provided a tiny screw driver. New battery is a LOT bigger both in size and the storage capacity (mah). Fits in the controller without any issues, but should provide ~2X the runtime. UPDATE: After requesting a replacement battery, I have changed my rating from a 5 to 1. First battery only lasted a week, second one looks to be going the same route. Gave it the benefit of the doubt, but after two batteries I change my opinion to avoid this one. Charges for hours but then only lasts a few minutes.

I was very excited at first when I opened the package to see that this appeared to be a legit battery unit. After installing it in my son’s Wii U gamepad, the battery did not last for more than 30min before needing to be recharged. The original 4 year old 1500 mAh battery that I replaced got about the same 30 min of playtime. I was expecting to get hours of game play seeing as how this battery was new and twice the capacity. Its possible that these batteries have lived beyond their shelf life and can no longer maintain full charge. The product does work but appears to be already on life support. If you are looking to upgrade your existing Wii U gamepad battery, this is not worth your time.

I had been playing my favorite game on the WiiU early in the morning just before my second-grade grandson came into my room. He saw that the console was charging and started to get upset that he wouldn't be able to play since the device was charging. I told him that he could go ahead and play because my half hour of play was nothing compared to the playing time afforded by the new battery. In the recent past, the WiiU console ran out of juice in under a half hour and had to be recharged before play could resume; alternatively, we would plant the unit in its charger while waiting for online players to join the next round (not an easy feat for me as a lower leg amputee), thus extending total playing time. None of that is necessary now. We can each take half-hour turns, thus reaching our quota for a half day without jumping through hoops. The battery was easy to install. I didn't even have to track down my miniature screwdriver set because the battery came with a screwdriver. It also came with a link to a short video that explained how to remove the old battery and install a new one. On top of that, after a week or so I got an e-mail from the supplier extending my warranty to three years. Good product, good service, too.

Battery does not last as long a los expected but is not that bad.

It was a larger battery than the WII's old one, but so far, it's worked. No problems and no kids getting mad because his battery died and now has to play on the charger. Good product no problems.

I used this to replace my old Wii U battery. It was really easy to install and came with a screwdriver to take the panel off of the back of the gamepad. The old one would not hold a charge. This one lasts for hours before I have to charge it.

Wanted to upgrade my 3 hour battery to a 6 hour. This battery over the course of a couple of months (June to August) would recharge less and less of its initial capacity and now it's completely dead and won't accept any charge now, my gamepad just keeps flashing an orange, which after some research told me I have a fried battery. This is nonsense and a complete waste of money that I'll have to spend AGAIN but this time from another brand.

So far the battery works great and It lasts compared to my old battery that died after 30 minutes.
