No. I have it set it up mainly as a room decoration. However, you should be able to do an internet search and find some kind of case or bag that would work for protecting it during travel.

Q: Could a toddler play this and not damage it heaily? Or is it only for gentle players?

This cajon is well-constructed and unless a child went at it with a hammer rather than hands it would stand up to playing. That being said I think it is meant more for older children or adults because of the subtlety of the sound differences that can be produced. There are more colorful, fun hand drums that I think would hold a toddler's attention. Bottom line: Not easily damaged by a toddler.
