The book should be an important part of a desert cookbook collection. I have pointed out a number of pie recipes that look like they would be great pies. I am still waiting for my pie. I must be Simple Simon?

A truly beautiful book
This is the third Linda Lomelino book I've purchased & it is possibly the most beautiful of them all. I'm a big fan of Linda's blog Call Me Cupcake, and have been baking her recipes for years. This book is no different.The first thing that hits you when you open it up is the photographs. The overall style of the book & the beautiful photos had me drooling as I turned from page to page. I read the entire book cover to cover & I baked my first pie from it the very next day: Crispy Pear Crumble Pie. Since the roaring success of that first pie, I've gone on to make several other recipes in the book - blueberry pie with buttermilk, forest berry crumble pie, flaky pastry dough, peanut butter pie - each to the same success. I have yet to be let down by one of Linda's recipes.The book is divided up into different sections: pies, crumbles, tarts, galattes, mini pies, hand pies, you name it. It's filled with some classics - key lime, apple pie, etc - but there are also some new exciting ideas that I had never seen down before, my favourite of which being the Cinnamon Roll Pie Dough.Hands down one of my favourite baking books, this is one I keep reaching for time & time again.

Great book to have in your collection.
I love the book and one of the first things I made was the spiced apple pie. It tasted fantastic and I am sure that all the other recipes will do too. My only gripe is having to convert the measurements from cups to grams but its no biggie. I work with both measurements these days when I work through a recipe.It has lovely pictures, comes in a hardback cover and the quality of the pages is really good, I do, however, write my recipes out before I use them as it would be a shame to ruin such a lovely book!

The measurements are imperial and not metric, which is a bummer. I have bought the book in English as gift for my mom (doesn't speak German), but I have the German version with the metric measurements. As for the recipes they are awesome. I have made already a half of the book and the pies are really tasty. People have contacted days after tasting the pies to get the recipes. My recommendation.

Gourmandise en vue!
Linda Lomelino a encore écrit un livre avec des recettes toutes parfaitement pensées.On retrouvé des idées, des astuces, des techniques, des conseils.Les recettes sont très bien pensées en quantité et tous les cas de figure ont été envisagés (comme l'organisation, le problème des fruits à jus qui pourraient humidifier la pâte...). Les recettes sont variées peuvent être des points de départ vers d'autres compositions selon les saisons et les fruits disponibles.Petit plus et pas des moindres: les recettes sont peu sucrées, si bien qu'on se régale et qu'on profite de toutes les saveurs.Le beurre est dosé avec modération aussi.Les idées de décors sont très jolies et très simples à mettre en oeuvre.C'est vraiment un très bel ouvrage, avec des recettes très accessibles et très savoureuses.
