I'm old school -- and like a simple clock radio in my kitchen. This fits the bill. The numbers are large -- huge! -- much bigger than I expected, but the dimmer switch allowed me to turn down the brightness. Having an adjustable dimmer is a big plus. Setting up the FM radio required the clock to scan the entire dial to "catch" available stations, but once it did that, it had all of the available stations in memory. I live in a very rural setting where radio is spotty at best -- this radio has much better reception than any other radio I've used here. Setting the time is easy, the battery worked fine when the power went out recently. My only quibble is the snooze/radio dial, which is plastic, feels cheap and might not last through a lot of use. But, it works now, so it's a minor quibble. All in all, it's an old-school clock radio, easy to set up, and it works great.

When I read the reviews, I had the feeling that the setup was very complicated. But in principle, I had no problems with the instructions, everything was set up very simply and easily. Moreover, there is now a video on YouTube. I like: When the radio is turned on as an alarm, the sound is very faint at first and then gets louder! Cool! Large numbers. The brightness of the numbers was enough for me, I even turned it down. Everything works so far.

Looks and sound like a mini radio. Bass is non existence. The sound is below average.

Very happy with the alarm. It's smaller than what I had before yet very stable due to its triangle shape. I love the woody surface. Nice large numbers with dimm set up is great. Love the week day / weekend alarm set up so no more turning off the alarm on Friday night or forgetting it all together and then waking up too early on Sat night instead of sleeping in :). There is only one confusion function: if I want to turn off the alarm very shortly after it has started, it is possible with the alarm button with one click. However, if I take longer, the button doesn't work anymore and I have to push the snooze button first and then the alarm button. I haven't figured out what is the time frame yet.
