My Koi and larger goldfish love this food. Seems to keep their color bright. Floats for a while and doesn't seem to come apart or dirty the water before they can eat it.

When I first got my baby koi one year ago I had some food given to me by the breeder, so I don't know what their original starter fish food was. I found this by researching on Amazon and have been very happy with this purchase. I feed them twice a day. My fish seem to love it and they have tripled in size from last year on this food. They always come to the surface every time I pass by, hoping for some handout. There's even a couple that push the other fish away so they can have first pickings. Their colors are definitely very vibrant. I will be purchasing the wheat germ version for the fall.

I've used this food for many years and the fish seem to do very well on it. Growth is quick and coloration is vivid.

My outdoor pond goldfish love it. I like it since it keeps their colors deep and bright. I've tried using other fish food, but found after a few months, their colors faded. So back to this, and back to bright colors again. I also always soak the pellets first, as I have found that when they are dry, the fish can swallow much more than they should, which caused some to die. The dry food expands in their stomachs, literally causing their stomachs to explode.

I have been using this product for a while now and fish are healthy and robust.

A very high quality food for koi or goldfish, with no chaff or debris. A big plus is that it can be soaked before feeding for those large fancy goldfish with swim bladder issues that cannot tolerate dry food. When soaked, it retains its shape without dissolving or muddying the water. There's really no substitute other than frozen food for this purpose. The package is high quality and the resealing strip works without fail over the lifetime of the product, despite daily opening and closing. The only drawback is a fishy smell when feeding, but that is to be expected with natural ingredients. I have raised and homebred fancy goldfish for many years. It's difficult to raise goldfish well without it.

This bag of fish pellets is at lease $10 cheaper than from a fish store. My fish love it and will come to the surface when they see me walking over with the bag of food.

This is great food to use for your goldfish or koi. I haven't had any issues with it and my goldfish loves it.

Although it is more expensive the koi fishes were less sluggish eating these Hikari pellets versus other brands. They really like it and is always racing to the top. With another brand, they do not want to eat it at all. It also smells much better than other brands.

If you have bigger fish, either giant orandas or ryukins or koi, this should be a good filler food, pellets are big, my orandas are 5 inchers, they gulp easily 7-8 pellets each at a time, they are pooping better as well. Better choice than hikari purple or green pack gold fish food. Pack is big and food spoils pretty easy if kept as is. OK choice if you have lots of fishes and the food would be used up. Else You can expect food to spoil.
