Dog likes the taste
I am this to my dog's food daily, he seems to like the taste. Instructions and dosage recommendation on the bottle are clear and it is very easy to squirt into food bowl. With things like this, it is difficult to tell if they are working so I suppose we will see with time, but happy with the product so far.

After using for over a week we are starting to see improvements
My dog is very elderly and over the last year Iāve really noticed a deterioration in his ability to jump up on the sofa and the bed and itās really upsetting to see as he was such a lively dog.We were putting tablets in his food, but heās very clever and would often find them and not eat them.Ā We do give him a lot of treats and things like eggs and chicken so he is very fussy with his food so heās clever when it comes to tablets. So we wanted to get him supplements in liquid form so that he couldnāt not eat them.Ā When I first got this supplement I was a bit concerned as heās had ones that smell meaty before. This supplement slightly smells fishy because itās got fish oil in it, but he eats it happily and the scent has not put him off his food at all, which is saying something because he has got more fussy in the last year due to all the treats!Ā Itās all natural and I put one pump on his food so it goes a long way.Ā Heās been using the supplement for about 2 weeks now and after this time I didnāt think weād see an improvement, but we do think itās having an effect as his mobility does seem to have got better. He seems to be finding it easier jumping up onto the bed and sofa and just seems more spritely so I will definitely continue to use as I can imagine increased usage will see further improvements.

Neither cats or dog seem to like this.
I havenāt been too impressed with this very fishy smelling supplement. It says it is suitable for cats and dogs so I have tried all of them with it. All of them had a good sniff but even my feline dustbin didnāt want to eat anything with it on. To say that is unusual is an understatement as she eats everything!! So I canāt say if it really has any health benefits but I donāt see anything in the ingredients that suggest it would be any better than others that are available.

Joint supplement in liquid fish oil form for dogs, cats and other animals.
This joint supplement appears to consist mainly of salmon oil, which contains omega 3 and the fatty acids mentioned on the label, with the addition of turmeric, boswellia, and a couple of plant derivatives I don't remember seeing on other products. Since it doesn't contain some of the other familiar ingredients, such as chondroitin, glucosamine and MSM, I would probably use this in addition to tablets, powder or chews, or possibly alternate between them. This isn't advice. It is a good idea to consult a vet before adding supplements to a dog's diet.We already sprinkle turmeric powder on their breakfast, and it is present in many chews and tablets as well as in this supplement, but it seems we are unlikely to give them too much of it in this way.As to practicality, there is the same issue as with the company's Senior Dog supplement in that the product needs to be shaken, but the pump dispenser makes this a little difficult. Rather than change the top every time, I have taken to some gentle agitating to mix the constituents. The bottle is made from coloured glass, to help preserve the oil, and it needs to be stored carefully. We have approached dosing with caution, after one of our dogs was quite sick when taking the senior supplement. We are not sure if that was the cause of the vomiting, but to be on the safe side, we have started them on two pumps each a day, rather than the five indicated from the weight chart. The yellowish oil smells fishy, but they have not complained, and are happy to have it in their meals. At £14.99 for a bottle, this product seems to be on a par with other supplements, and is well worth it if it can benefit them so much.

The bottle leaks
The Pets Purest Joint Supplement for Dogs arrives in a non-recyclable sealed plastic bag. In the bag, the oil supplement is contained in a recyclable (PET-1) plastic bottle with a printed label attached.Printed on the label are the ingredients, daily dose (1 pump per 5 kg), amount (300ml). In addition, this appears to be fortified with omega 3, 6, and 9 oils - not sure where this fortification is derived from. There is no confirmation that this supplement is manufactured by a GMP process - GMP is important for product quality. To use you attach the provided pump to the bottle and pump out the required amount. So if you follow the dosage requirements and have a 25kg dog and each pump provides 5ml then this will last you one month.I attached the pump and gave our 20kg staffie only one pump onto his dried food. He ate it fine and appeared to enjoy it. The container was very full and it did leak a little with fixing the pump and then continued to leak by dripping oil for about 5 minutes. (see photo) In addition, it is not at all easy to lock the pump once you have activated it. You have to do this when you complete the pump by turning the lever and you will certainly get salmon oil on your hands. The ingredients are all good.Overall it is an oil with some additions that may be beneficial to a dog - not sure really as most have not been studied to show conclusive benefit apart from boswellia which has been well studied in dogs but they do not state anywhere the amount of boswellia in the preparation - so I am uncertain if there is sufficient to have any efficacy or not.. At £50.00 for a litre of oil, this makes extra virgin olive oil look cheap - so I hope that the added supplements do add some additional value - I find it difficult to believe a 10x value is there over olive oil plus some raw salmon - but that is an individual decision and some may see the value.
