Question 1

Why should I get a DNA test for my dog?

Accepted Answer

DNA testing can reveal if your dog is prone to barking at mail carriers or if they fear grooming. You can also learn traits like fur types or how big your puppy might get. Health insights can even give you peace of mind for potential health risks.

Question 2

What breed information will there be in my dog's DNA test results?

Accepted Answer

Your dog’s report will have an estimate of their breed composition, appearance, personality, behavioral traits, and a list of dogs that have shared DNA with your dog. We compare your dog's sample to our reference database containing over 400 breeds.

Question 3

What's the difference between the Breeds kit and the Breeds & Health kit for dogs?

Accepted Answer

Our Breeds kit uses DNA pattern matching to reveal your dog's estimated breeds, traits, and community DNA matches. Our Breeds & Health kit also screens 200+ genetic conditions, analyzing DNA markers to determine your dog's potential health risks.

Question 4
