You cannot ever go wrong with Hammerite! Just don't mix it up too vigorously, keep stirring it as you use it (but gently!), don't overload your brush worth paint and you'll get a perfect finish, every time. For cleaning, just paint out the xs (on some old paper or board), use B&Qs own paint brush cleaner (cheap and cheerful), finish with a vigorous plunge in some hot water and washing up liquid, dry on a cloth and roll your brush tightly in some newspaper and store it that way - that stops the bristles from splaying out and makes the brush usably useful every time you need it. Works perfectly for me!

aways a good doer great price paid

Used this on a metal hand rail all the way up the stairs. The hand rail had become rusty dirty looking with some layers missing. This great product covers it all and looks amazing dried over night. Will buy again.

Good quality and good coverage

Brilliant product deserves 5 stars. Does exactly what it says and is beautiful colour looks like real gold metal. Very happy. Remember to purchase terps as water and liquid won't clean brushes.
