I originally ordered the Visionary Pet Foods Gourmet Freeze Dried Beef Meal Mixer/Topper for my dogs as an extra treat to put on top of their food. One of my cats is on medication that suppresses his appetite so I am always trying new ways to encourage him to eat his meals. I decided to offer this topper to him and he loved it. I am now giving it to my cat more than my dogs. The smell and taste quickly makes him excited about his food. I love that the only ingredient is beef so I know I'm not giving my pets a bunch of unnecessary fillers. I also like that the product is high in protein which is a big benefit when dealing with a pet that isn't eating well.

When I say it works I mean my puppy is eating her food more since I added this. I have tried different foods that she will eat for awhile. Then she stops eating them. Since I’ve been adding this she’s still eating the same food. Guess time will tell.

not bad at all and at a decent price.. Great topper and perfect for our Epi dog whom i have on a low carb diet, would be a keto one if Visionary Pet Food still made their keto beef kibble food that my dog loved, still hoping they bring that back in future!!

I have three large Maine Coons, so finding them food to supplement their raw diet is difficult. While all three love the food I make them, sometimes it's good to have them get used to other food, heaven forbid they need to stay overnight at a vet. Happy to have found this food topper. I feel good feeding it as I can easily read the ingredients. I'll leave the tasting to the cats, but will admit it smells good.

I ordered this because my dog doesn't want to eat dog food, before I got him he was fed human food. I have to add chicken or livers to his food to get him to eat it, he rarely eats his food without something being added. The first time I added this to his food he seemed to enjoy it and ate the majority of his food. All other feedings he only ate 1/4 to 1/2. I would recommend this because it would probably be beneficial for dogs who get tired of the same food, adding this topper could avoid having to change foods.

For background I free feed my 27 lb heeler mix. She always has access to food so she'll ignore her food till she is hungry. I like this topper because it motivates her to eat and I use it when I can't keep her food out or when I know we're going to be out all day and I want her to eat before leaving so she isn't hungry. My dog goes nuts any time I put this in her food.

Our dog gets bored with her food now and then but adding a bit of this really helps and it is really good for your pup too. Easy to mix in and our dog loves it.
