I have to say this is a great radio with the right features. I use it for fishing and camping mostly, and it has made every trip better. I love how the radio picks up channels very clearly. With the weather radio channels I can always find my local weather as well. The built in lights work great and I use them often, especially the one with multiple led's on the right side. It's great for lighting up a big area, or use it as a work light. I keep a spare battery charged for mine, so all I have to do is switch it out and go on my next trip..( I bought an extra 18650 3.7 volt battery and charger). I have not needed to use the crank or solar power charger as of yet, because the battery lasts a long time. Overall I give it 5 stars, and I believe it's well worth the price!

I can't believe how many features this radio has...from the flashlight and reading lamp to the several ways of charging. I wanted a radio that used batteries because I've had crank radios in the past and never got much power out of them. Solar charging is definitely a bonus. The sound so far is great and it picks up lots of stations on both FM and AM bands plus I received very clear reception on my local NOAA broadcast (although I didn't like what they were telling me since it was more snow - ugh). The size of the 2 dials is great and beneficial when you have arthritic hands like I do. I love the red color and the portability. I plan to use this radio when camping in my minivan or when just hanging out on my patio.

This is a pretty nice emergency radio from a functional standpoint. It give me an impression it's cheaply made but that may be misleading. Everything I tried worked fine. AM, FM and Weather Radio Worked fine and came in clearly. Both flashlight and the reading light worked fine. The solar charging option seems to work VERY slowly even in clear sky direct sunlight. No surprise with such a tiny set of cells! The hand crank charger works better but any significant charge could take a lot of cranking. The micro USB charging port is the only option that really makes sense to me for charging. There is no charge level indication. If you want some extra security the 3 AA cells will run the radio and lights for a good while. Here is what I like: + The AM/FM/Weather radio come in quite clear + Sound quality is better than I expected + The multiple charging options all seem to work + Can run of 3 AA batteries (not required) + The flashlight and reading light work better than I expected + The handle is actually pretty useful + Ability to charge a USB chargeable device What I don't like so much: - Feels kind of cheaply made - Solar charging does not seem to do much - No charge level indication I like this emergency radio for just that. It's not a radio I would use all the time but it has all the things I'd want in a pinch from an emergency radio device. The multiple charging options are good too. But it feels kind of cheaply made and there is no charge level indicator which I would like. I think this comes in at 4 stars. It's pretty good but there is certainly room for improvement.

This device is a real life saver (possibly literally) firstly, the radio functions ALL work very well. I live in rural Kentucky and even regular FM is spotty, but this radio (with a foldable antenna) snatched stations out of the air like I was next door to a station; short wave, EBS, NOHA, all come in amazingly well. And the lights are pretty good; the flashlight is a wide splash beam and would light up a room, and the separate reading LCD is nice and bright too. The combination of a 1500mAh 18650 chargeable battery -that can be charged three different ways; by input USB, solar (has a nice panel for that) and of course you have the dynamo. The dynamo crank will charge up the battery to probably 40%.. that's plenty enough to charge a cell phone to make an emergency call or two if you phone dies. There is also a place for three AA batteries as well.. they work in tandem with the chargeable battery when the 18650 gets tired. speakers are loud enough for it's purpose. Everything works PERFECTLY, and does what its supposed to.. Only one thing I have my doubts about: the outer shell. It feels thin and fragile. I don't think it would survive a fall of more than.. oh, say three feet or so, onto a hard surface. Just be careful with it and you'll be fine, the pros far outweigh the cons, and I would buy it again in a heartbeat because all of the functions work so well! Oh, and thank the seller and Amazon for the fast ship&delivery (even in these trying times!

This is one cool radio! I was only looking for a weather radio, and I got so much more, and for such a great price. Other than the fact that the radio has an alert alarm, which is helpful living in tornado country, it also is a short wave radio, and AM/FM, the reception is especially strong and clear. Living in the Houston area, being also in hurricane country, the power crank is a wonderful feature. It has not only a flashlight, but also a reading light, and charges from the computer, the car and wall socket, all for just over $36.00! It even works after getting well, as the trunk wasn't latched when I washed it, but I don't recommend getting any electronic device wet, of course. I highly recommend this product.

I actually haven't done much with this item since I got it, but I haven't been very pleased with it thus far. The face plate that lets you know what frequency that you're using fell off shortly after I got it. I probably should have returned it at that point, but decided to do a little self repair and reattach it with some super glue. That was a mistake because the area behind the frequency indicator that slides up and down the frequencies for the radio has a cloudy appearance now and the frequency indicator itself won't move. The manual is written in broken English and is incomplete. The functions of the item have four different power sources - solar power, hand crank, rechargeable lithium battery and AA batteries, but it isn't at all clear what power source is used for what function or whether or not the AA batteries are needed or not. There also is no indicator to let you know the level of charge for the lithium battery so it's hard to tell if it is fully charged or not. I wish I had not jumped at buying this item - I would only hope that there are better items out there.

This radio is really nice, it has good reception, and all the functions work well. It's bigger than others I shopped for, making it ideal for me. Also, the greatest advantage is that the 18650 battery is replaceable and not "built-in". With the battery fully charged I played the radio for 8hrs straight and found that there was little drain the battery making it exceptional. It has only one speaker, which is my only complaint, and the volume can get loud. Being a solar/hand crank radio it's great to have on hand for emergencies and so far it has been reliable.

I ordered two different emergency radios to complement what seemed to be lacking in either. And, at first, I thought about doing this review with Pro and Con, like that the function selector works great but you have to get used to know which function you are selecting or that the radio selectivity takes just the touch. BUT, truth is that we selected this one for emergency features--because it had ALERT weather monitoring that sounds a siren tone when a tornado warning is issued, or a flood warning, or high winds, or severe thunderstorms and so on. I have not tried cranking to charge because I have a 100W solar array which is busy all day storing 0.5 kW hours in a deep cycle battery that charges all the radios and flashlights. I read that the built-in solar function takes nearly all day. We have not needed to try the alternate charging this one is designed for. It has a very functional reading light. For an emergency radio the sound is quite good. I have not tried the music player feature either. Maybe I'll order a few memory sticks to copy different genres to please our listeners. Holding that thought is what this radio is all about--It will help light up your world, charge a phone, and entertain. no matter what! And you may be happier with another radio, get that one too! This one warns of extreme weather conditions and has lights to keep life more bearable. You may want it for day-to-day and weekly weather reports and emergency warning monitor going for extreme weather conditions--good, because it will be charged when and alert you that you may really need it!

Sesini fazla açamıyorsunuz. Solar sistem ise sadece görüntü amaçlı. USB Bellekten ile müzik çalması gerekiyor, onda da sıkıntı çıktı. Diğer opsiyonlara bakmadım bile. Üzüldüm. Büyük ihtimal kalite kontrole girmemiş bir ürün diye düşünüyorum. İade süresi geçtiği için deyapacak bir şey yok. Bir bardak soğuk su bakıyorum.

I like being able to use the radio without having to plug into my pc. It's very portable and I can use it in the garden. The flash light is great for power outages. I brought one for my brother to take camping.
