What is the lamp pole and base made of?

The pole and base are made from a sturdy material that I think is made out of plastic but it has a lot of texture and weight to it which imparts the look and feel of wood. I hope you can see the details in the trunk in the video. This is a very nice lamp!

How do I keep the light on with the foot pedal? Just clicks on then it turns off

You slide your foot to your desired brightness, then slide it back to turn off. I personally use my hand, but it works well with your foot.

Can I use a white light bulb with 5000k or more color temperature?

Not sure. I used a standard 60 watt bulb.

What watt bulbs can i use
