I bought these black candles for Halloween decorations. Because we are renting our home we wanted to find fake candles that gave the illusion of real candles. Even when turned on, you could tell these candles were fake, but we expected that. With the dim light and flicker, they worked really well to give the illusion of real candles. The one thing I didn't love was that there was no on or off switch. To turn the candles on or off, you have to loosen or tighten the bottom that holds the batteries. I can see how including an on or off switch in the design would be hard and probably not look very good. Keep in mind, these candles do not light up a room but they do give a lovely ambiance. Overall, I would recommend these to someone who wants a renter-friendly candle stick option.

I thought I wasnt going to like these when I opened them because I realized they were not remote control operated but rather a twist bottom. It ended up being really convenient since I can twist and untwist them while theyre still in the candle holders and I dont have to remove them to slowest the bottom. They look really beautiful and the light it's a pretty warm color

Used for Halloween decorations. The batteries stayed on for 2 full days but then started dying. Works great if you’re throwing a party but not to stay on for the whole month or anything like that.

I should have tested all of the candles when I received them but I didn't. 4 of the candles I can't use because the batteries won't go in because they are different size openings. The candles that do work are nice. The picture shows what I mean the one on the left works but the one on the right with the white end is too small for the batteries to go in.

These candles obviously aren’t going to look exactly like the real thing but they look good enough in my candelabras… however, I didn’t realize that the only color that didn’t come with a remote was black and so now I have 24 of these sprinkled the light my house with no way to turn them on and off and I don’t believe they have a built in timer. The description says it’s touch on-off but that is not true; the base has to be screwed off and the batteries taken out to turn it off… which means unless I want to waste 30 minutes everyday just to turn these on at night they’re either useless and can’t be used or I’ll spend a fortune on batteries just to leave them on 24/7. Not a great concept unless you’re only using these for parties or just sometimes. I hate to complain about it.. but the description should have been clearer and the reviews shouldn’t have been mixed between multiple products. Also, they shouldn’t claim it’s touch on/off if it isn’t. I am leaving these on to see if they have a timer that shuts off after 6 hours like most battery operated candles because that I can deal with; if not, I’ll be returning. Will update my review if the timer works.
