Dried peas and beans
Good quality and value. I wash the amount I need then soak them for an hour or two. Ideal for stews and one pot meals. Adds depth and great mixed with pulses and beans. I am not a vegetarian but I do like the mixture of several pulses, beans etc. Recommend

Mushy Peas
I have tried unsuccessfully to source unbranded dried peas in my local supermarkets. These are a reasonable price and make very nice mushy peas it’s just a pity I have to rely on Turkey for producing them.

Money saving
We love mushy peas and buy frozen bags that have doubled in price over the last few months. I bought a bag of these and soaked some for 12 hours in a bowl of hot water and bicarbonate of soda. My husband was whinging for the 12 hours saying they wouldn’t be the same but once they were cooked, he couldn’t tell the difference and now he is a convert as we will save a lot of money. Just remember to soak them overnight for at least 12 hours.
