Mandarin Orange Linen and Room Spray, Natural Air Freshener Made with Pure Mandarin Essential Oil, Bathroom Air Freshener, Pillow Spray, or Bathroom Air Freshener Odor Eliminator

This review is for the Mandarin Scent. I was expecting a pleasant sweet orange scent, and unfortunately got a bottle that smelled like skunk. Original review is below. A representative from the company reached out and explained that the unpleasant scent was likely due to improper storage in a hot environment, and the spray is not supposed to smell "skunky". They offered to replace the spray or issue a refund. Overall, incredible customer service. I will absolitely purchase from this company again, although I may try another scent. Original review (1 star): This review is for the Mandarin Scent. Love the idea of using essential oils, the spray function is fantastic, the size is very nice. Unfortunately it does not smell like the bright, sweet orange I was expecting. I was expecting more the concept of mandarin, but its straight up the smell of the peel. Which everyone in my family thinks smells like skunk. Nothing quite like finding that out the hard way when you're expecting to make the room smell nice. Unfortunately I absolutely cannot reccomend this product, and it's not even worth passing on to someone else.

***UPDATE... The company reached to me out and explained that I had received a bottle that had oxidized from the warehouse. They immediately offered my choice of a replacement or refund. I did take the refund (for now), but will probably reorder at a later date to give it another try. Wonderful customer service, kind and courteous, so I'm bumping up my rating to a 3... and will update again once I reorder.*** I was so excited to purchase this, it had such good reviews. I ordered the Mandarin Orange Linen. Well... when I opened the plastic wrap off the bottle, a little leaked out on my hand. Initially, it smelled like that "fart spray" that you'd buy as a kid, and I gagged really bad. And as I'm a real sucker for punishment, I started to read the bottle and smell the spray nozzle to see what the heck I bought. Big mistake. Oh my word... it smelled just like WEED. Yes, I said WEED. Super strong smell and holy smokes...it almost took me out. My family members came to check on me, since I was still loudly gagging, and all agreed (immediately), that it smelled like the good ol' Mary Jane. Not a scent I want to be spraying around my house, by any means. Since I already broke the seal on this thing, I assumed I couldn't return it... so I just threw it in the trash. Bye, bye money. Anyway, it does NOT smell like mandarin oranges or linen. Not even close! If you think it does, please get your sniffer checked! Bottom line, if you want to have a nice, pleasant smell of citrus-y linen in your house, do NOT buy this product. If you want your house smelling like a 'party house"... go ahead, give it a try, LOL! But seriously, yuck!

Was ok but doesn't hold the scent for very long.

I ordered peppermint and mandarin, the peppermint was much more pleasant. The Mandarin one just smelled like real mandarins that were left out too long and you know the window of time when you can eat it is way past but you spent money buying it so now it's going to sit in your fruit bowl until the very last second

When I got the package, it came wrapped in a clear plastic bag. But when I opened the bag, something smelled odd. Like a skunk farted, or even that overpowering smell of tires being burned? At first I thought the smell was coming from outside the windows. But the smell was coming from the bottle. I checked the bottle and found it had leaked a little (1%) and the odd smell was coming from the bottom of the outer cap. I tried to wash the outside of the bottle with soap..but the smell is still there. I will be transferring it over into a new bottle. Anyways. The potency is ok (5/10). The smell is quite light. Not potent as a small bottle of orange essential oil. It would not do well for situations where you need the room to smell strongly of oranges. One spritz, and the scent lasts around 20 seconds? Maybe my nose is used to the smell now. Haha For the price of one bottle, it is a bit expensive when comparing the potency to a bottle of small orange essential oil (some brands charge around $5).
