Cooler Stainless Steel Hinge Replacement for Coleman Camping Coolers Accessories 5235 5250 5286b 6262 6270, Ice Chest Stainless Steel Hinges (Set of 2)

My cooler is 7 years old, looks and works perfectly till one of the plastic hinges blew out. I saw “metal hinges” and thought “these will last forever!!!”. They were an exact fit on my cooler and bonus that they came with a fresh set of stainless steel screws.The only downside was the original plastic hinges had a bump stop for keeping the door from flopping all the way back. These new hinges do not have that feature. Now I need to make a strap that attaches from the door to the cooler for a stopper. If your cooler doesn’t have this strap I’d stick with the original hinges. 7 years is not a bad run for the original ones!?

When my 30 year old Coleman's hinges failed, I thought that was the end for the old cooler, but a quick Amazon search yielded plenty of options, I settled on these because they looked more durable than the original plastic AND they had the little flair that held the top from flopping all the way back like some of the other steel replacements would have done. They came in and I tasked my 10yearold to install the new hinges. He had completed the job in less than 10 minutes. So easy. And they look great on the old cooler!
