Will this work in a car?

Inside, not really, unless you have a magnetic surface in your dashboard. In the exterior, you just have to make sure theres a magnetic side of your car (because some parts are plastic or other non-magnetic materials even though are painted)

Compatible with iPhone 15 Pro Max?

Yes, the iPhone 15 Pro Max has MagSafe on the back like the previous iPhone 14 lineup, so it will work on it as well. Be aware that any case you put on your phone (especially thick ones) may weaken the magnetic bond. For best results a specific MagSafe case with extra magnets works best.
