Such a painless process and gets you to the beach quicker.
I ordered this on the 4th and got it in my hands on the 6th. I have not seen any details about what is included in the "welcome package" so I will list what I have in mine. I expect they will be the same for everyone but we will see. First you get a sim card package that is already opened. I assume it is open so that the company can get your info. I ordered the micro sized card and it has a normal punch out you have to remove it from. I think the micro and the mini is the same product but I may be wrong. On the sim card package you have a paper that clearly says to register your sim card at there website. I just did it and it was a simple and painless process. My date to leave is on the 17th so I should have plenty of time for it to be activated. If not I will make sure to change my review. You also get a sim card removal tool, I don't know what they are really called but huge thumbs up for including it with the package. They also include a FAQ sheet which is nicely designed on cardstalk. I honestly would have assumed they would use just a printout but this makes it even nicer. This FAQ sheet tells you everything you need to know including how to test your sim card before you leave on your trip. This package also has your phone number stamped on the sim card package, I had a telcel sim a year ago and I do not recall knowing what my phone number was but this is nice to know on this trip. All I care about is the data and 3GB will be gobbled up on my vacation away from the snow. The company also includes a business card with a US, Canada and Mexico contact number. Additionally they include a email address which is nice to see.I like the welcome package and if you were wondering what was in it now you know, I am impressed. I don't think this is the best deal but last time I got a sim card it was in Mexico and it was hot and that was 45 min away from the beach. This service lets me get right to the beach and not looking for a retailer.I have a Nexus 4 and the sim swap is a easy process for me, I did have to restart my phone twice before it recognized the network in the United States but it connected to AT&T really quickly. The form tells you how to do this but just to re-state KEEP YOUR DATA OFF!! You do not want charges before you go or some error pop up.In conclusion I would like to see this offered at a lower cost but I find it worth it and its nice to have it taken care of so when I land I just pop in my sim card. I already know I will buy the yearly package to just add money to it next year.So I just returned from Mexico and it worked like a charm, I really liked the sim remove tool included as I can never find my original one. I also decided half way into my trip to purchase additional minutes and did so using the website provided. First off I figured it would take a day to process but it was completed within 5 minutes and I had my minutes. I don't think any minutes are included with this sim deal which was not a problem with me because I did not think I would need to call anyone but trying to track down a rental car in Playa was starting to be a problem so I decided to call around.I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to get off the plane and start using there phone, it is just so convenient. Plus also Telcel was running a holiday promotion where all social media data was free, which was a huge plus. Facebook and Twitter were the two big ones that I use and 3GB was a little over kill but I also decided to run my computer off of this service as well.AWESOME!!!!

Extremely satisfied!
Once I arrived in Mexico I was really happy I had bought this SIM card beforehand; the minute the plane touched down I had local phone service, without having to run around finding an OXXO or other store to buy a Telcel SIM.During the week I spent in Mexico, I made three types of calls: 1) local calls to other Mexican numbers; 2) U.S. phones roaming in Mexico; and 3) long-distance calls to the U.S. All calls worked perfectly once I figured out the dialing rules (available on the SIM-card seller's website). The local (Mexico City) number assigned to the card (printed on the card's envelope) never would show in the status or SIM-card-management menus on my phone, but those to whom I gave the number had no trouble reaching me.I had downloaded Google Maps for most of Quintana Roo and Yucatan before leaving the U.S. and had wifi where I was staying so I rarely needed mobile data, but the few times I used it it worked fine. The seller mentioned a 400MB data allowance on this card, but I cannot attest to how much was actually loaded because I used so little. Also, I cannot attest to LTE service because my phone is an international model incompatible with Telcel's LTE bands so I would not have gotten anything above 3G in the first place. If you need to have local phone service as soon as you arrive in Mexico, and/or have no time to track down a SIM card in a local store, this is a great option. For the service and convenience I received the $24.95 price tag seemed very reasonable. Oh, and Mexico SIM Card's customer service -- both pre- and post-sale -- is top-notch.

Shaky and unreliable
My most regretted purchase - and regretfully, one that had a significant bearing on my quality of life for a week. I was sometimes able to text my dad who was also traveling with me and strangely, my sister in New York (I was texting from Michoacan Mexico). I could not make calls at all and the connection was shaky and slow. Hated it. I will invest in a data plan with roaming before my next visit or research a better option than this.

Worked as advertised. Will buy again!
I purchased this prior to leaving to Mexico. Once I received the product the included instructions told me I had to go to a website and fill out some information in regards of the dates that I will be arriving in Mexico and such which was kind of odd but it also made sense in order to activate the data.Once I got to Mexico the SIM card worked immediately and had no problem using data everywhere I went. Personal hotspot even works. Now the only downfall that I ran into was the instructions to find how much data you have left. I tried to follow it and it does not work Because the menu has changed compare to the instructions that came with the package. I also had issue with FaceTime (iPhone). No matter what I did or try to get FaceTime going it did not work. I change a few setting within the iPhone and still did not work. I thought it may have been my phone so I swapped it with my wife’s iPhone and hers did not work either. I even tried to share my hotspot to see if FaceTime will work and that was a fail also.So not sure what the issue was but don’t let this stop you from purchasing this. I would definitely buy this again when I leave to Mexico.

Worked well
The SIM and Telcel service worked very well. Set it up 2 days before my trip to Mexico with no problems. Upon arrival, it connected immediately to the local mobile network. Not a big mobile data user, after 28 days I had over 3GB of data left out of 8 total. I’d recommend this product and will purchase it again.

Good service
Used in and around Puerto Vallarta. Had no issues. Was able to use data and call/text. Was also able to call to the US while I was down there

Service was spotty and data on card was less than purchased.
The card worked when put in the phone. Was able to make calls and send messages. The 8gb data usage ran out way before an actual 8 gb was used after 3 days. It's almost like I got a 3 or 4gb card in place of the 8.
