For normal paint stripping, especially for thick layers of oil-based paint, this is the best stripper I have found and I have been using it for years. It does not work quite so readily on varnish applied directly to bare wood, especially soft woods, but they absorb the varnish more readily so you ould expect that. You will never get back to the bare wood wiithout sanding. However, it all depends on your project and the sort of varnish originally applied. I find some varnishes I cannot get rid of actually seal the soft wood so I can get a lovely soft, rustic finish that I like, and the varnish residue helps a lot when applying wax for a natural-looking finish.

It didn't remove the paint like it used to and the cheaper paint strippers did slightly better.

I used 750g tin for 1 single radiator can honestly say it was terrible it took minimum paint off I used a tool but would be scrapping it to 2050. Wouldn't recommend the smell was awfully also went right through my house 🙈

Followed the instuctions and i was disppionted with the product. Used the entire tin and did not do the job it was meant to. Only reason i gavea 2* was it arrivwd on time.

I used it to take off many layers of paint on some pipes. It work but needed several goes
