Studio or Stage. An EXCELLENT mic!!
Beautiful looks, stunning sound!! Brighter than an SM58 as uses the guts of the beta58. Has amazing feedback rejection, these retro mics often suffer bad feedback on small, loud stages, not this one. The Super Cardoid pattern localises the input pickup area to the front of the mic. Nice improvement on my live sound and it looks gorgeous too! Metallica have used them for some time too. If they're good enough for Metallica, they're good enough for me!

A Shure Fire Winner
Shure mics have a reputation for quality and performance and this model does nothing to threaten that reputation. I can't decide which is more beautiful - the sound or the looks. Helped to select this for use by my vocalist daughter, who 'fronts' a live band, so control of acoustic feedback and pickup response pattern were important deciding factors. For various reasons I wasn't able to be present when she used it for the first time. However, even listening to someone's phone video of the event, the sonic difference was obvious when compared to her previous kit. There are cheaper mics out there but this one is worth the extra cash. If I could only use one word to describe it I would choose phenomenal.

Nothing to dislike and everything to love about this microphone!!
The is a absolutely nothing to dislike about this microphone and everything to love about the microphone. It looks superb. It’s build quality is second to none. The sound quality is just exemplary. I have had numeous microphones over the year and this is just simply the best I have had. Well done Shure!!

Old Microphone
This product was described as “used / mint.” However, it was very worn, with a rusty spring, a scratched body, and it even looked like it had a bogey stuck to the foam. Is it true that the Shure company is behind this product? I’m very disappointed...

I was using a decent condenser mic that was dropped and only half of it worked. I was looking for a replacement, but didn't want to spend a ton. I needed a good mic for both gigs and studio recording. Well, after researching quite a bit, and finding out that this mic doesn't need phantom power to work, I decided to splurge a bit and get it. I'm a singer/guitarist (singer first, guitarist second), and I love condenser mics for how they capture vocal sounds. I expected a lot from this mic because it's a Shure, and I am NOT disappointed as all! The sound quality is stunning both live and in-studio. The only thing I've noticed is that when I use it live, the PA gain has to be turned up quite a bit, which has (sometimes) caused some feedback when the guitar gain is up as well. I don't think that's a problem with the mic, though. It's more of a problem because I play guitar quietly sometimes. The fact that I have a condenser mic that does NOT REQUIRE phantom power is wonderful. It adds so much more to the mic's usefulness and versatility. But really, I can't get over the sound quality. Stunning. For the price, which was a little steep for me, I think it probably far outshines other condenser mics out there. In addition, it seems to be very well built. And, it's gorgeous to boot. Note: I (like several others) purchased the Aenllosi hard carrying case as part of a bundle from Amazon. I strongly recommend getting a hard case for this mic if you plan to move it around. It's well-built, but it's still a condenser mic, and I don't want to take any chances.

Livré en excellent état, pour un micro de seconde main reconditionné par Amazon 👍, soigneusement emballé et stické, comme neuf. Il fonctionne très bien, qualité de rendu de la marque Shure inégalable. À recommander

Design lindo, qualidade ABSURDA. Me atrevo a dizer que ele é melhor que o Shure beta 58a (meu outro microfone) no palco

I'm in love with it, the classic retro Elvis styling is what that attracts me and my customers. Just a wow from Shure. This mic is has the main spot on the stage and people go haha over it. Thank u Amazon and Shure. Performance is excellent, feedback refection can be felt and the vocals are sharper than sm 58, only thing disturbing me is the puff sound can be heard while breathing near it. I have tried and compared with sm 58 which is quieter even when I blew air from close range. I ve opened the super deluxe and there I found the reason and difference of sponze placing of this and the sm 58. while the sm 58 has sponze attached to the grill of the mic, the distance form the diaphram is 1 inch or less hence making it quiter, on the other hand super deluxe design is in that way where the sponze is attached to the grill however the diaphram is also very close near the sponze hence making audible the noise of breathing and the puff sound from mouth.. So singers with good mic and breathe technique will have no issue in using this.

I've been using this microphone with a Focusrite Scarlett solo preamp as part of my V/C setup for work meetings. It's a beautiful mic, always an interesting talking point to break the ice at the start of a meeting, and it makes you sound good. As delivered, there was a manufacturing flaw in the XLR connector wire that caused a bunch of noise. Loosening the grub screw allowed the XLR connector to drop out, and I could re-solder the wire properly to ground. Six months later, the same wire failed behind the mic cartridge and I had to open it up. The original wire was just long enough to reach, and likely got caught on the cable relief spring during adjustment leading to excessive strain on the solder joint. This time I had to replace the wire since it wasn't long enough for a direct repair - but once replaced the mic is back to its former glory.
