Took a 30.9 post to 31.6 effortlessly
I needed a shorter dropper than the 31.6 mm/150 mm that came with my Santa Cruz Chameleon. I had a perfectly good 30.9 post in 125 mm and this adapter allowed me to use that and save the cost of a new dropper.

Affordable and fits properly.
It was cheap and made my smaller dropper post fit my bike with no wiggle.

Fits well and long enough for support.
Fits well and is long enough to support the thinner seat post well.

Solved huge problem
Solved the huge problem I was having switching my Velo Orange setback seatpost to a larger post size! My seat is set low anyway, and the shim fit past the weld, so I have few concerns about it splitting or slipping.
