It is amazing to me how well this very simple device works. Fewer moving parts= more efficient. The only hard part of using this is figuring out how exactly to put it on the can, but it's actually really simple. Just line up the wheel with the lip on the can and it slots right in. Turn the handle, which is very large, comfortable, and well built, making it very easy to turn, and it just opens like magic. Almost no mess at all. Easy in the hands. Easy to clean. Easy to store. Easy to use. You DO NOT need another can opener. Ever.

I absolutely love it!! It works so good. I now have a can opener that I can use when my power is out, and I need to open a can. What I really love about is no sharp lids will be thrown in the garbage can to tear through the trash bag. I definitely recommend anyone to try this product. It works amazingly well and easy to use, and you don’t have to worry about the lid falling into the can or getting food on the can opener.

Works exactly as it should! I’m really impressed with this can opener. It arrived right on time and does a perfect job of opening cans without leaving those dangerous, jagged edges. It’s easy to turn, feels sturdy in the hand, and the safe-cut design is a game changer if you’re tired of accidental nicks. Definitely a solid addition to the kitchen!

My old can opener, a non-safety type from Pampered Chef, finally loosened up to the point where it would not reliably pierce or open cans. There was just too much slop and wear between the blades. It lasted almost 20 years so I'm not complaining. This time around, I wanted one of the safety openers so that I wouldn't have to worry about sharp edges. After receiving it, I tried this opener on a couple of #10 coffee cans. I drink both regular and decaf coffee so I have 2 cans open at any point in time. Opening the first can was pretty straightforward, though I will say that this opener requires quite a bit of torque to work its way through a can. A #10 can is large and my hand was tired by the time I got to the end of it. My hands are pretty strong (I lift weights regularly) so someone with smaller or weaker hands may struggle using this thing. The second can completely thwarted this opener. It would not bite into the can's rim with sufficient force to spin it around. I tried in several different locations with no luck. I found this unusual because the first can had opened up cleanly, and both appeared identical, but I guess they're not. I opened up another couple of cans just to make sure the opener worked OK and it did. One particular can just threw it for a loop, I guess. This opener does leave a very clean, burr-free edge, but it's harder to use than most of the other can openers I've used. I'll keep using it for now because it does a good job, but I'm not in love with the amount of force I had to use or with the inability to open a pretty standard coffee can. The jury is still out on this one. UPDATE: After some additional use, I've upped my rating to 4 stars. This can opener works pretty well, with one caveat. Some newer coffee cans are actually made of what looks like aluminized cardboard, with steel top and bottom sections. This can opener seems to have trouble with these cans. My guess is that the drive wheel can't get a good bite on the rim of the can, so it just slips when you try to turn the handle. This explains why I had so much trouble opening some #10 coffee cans in the past. The Walmart house-brand coffee cans seem to be the worst so far. I will say that, for regular steel cans, this works well. Yes, it can get hard to turn the lever and tire your hand out, but the edges it leaves are smooth and burr-free, just like it promises. Since the majority of the cans that I open are smaller than a #10, it works fine most of the time. Since most of the cardboard coffee cans now come with foil tops that can be peeled back without tools, I don't expect to have much of a problem in the future. I wish it was easier to turn the handle on this thing, but it's not unwieldy and it does a good job.

I ordered the Good Cook Safe Cut Can Opener and it was a game-changer in my kitchen. The design was clever and effective, cutting the side of the can rim to leave a smooth, non-sharp edge on both the lid and the can. It felt very safe to use and I didn't have to worry about any accidental cuts while handling the opened cans. The mechanism was smooth and required minimal effort to turn. The black finish looked sleek and it felt sturdy and well-made. It's easily the best can opener I've owned and I highly recommend it for its safety and ease of use.

Great can opener. I was using a knife and really hurt myself. Bigger cans are harder to open need a little more strength, but I like there are no sharp edges and it’s easy to grip to can.

Amazing!!!!!!!!!! Cannot stress this enough!!!!!!!!!!! All of the can openers (yes, multiple...until i found this one) I've bought in the past couple years have been those ones with the circular blade, spring, and screw. They would fall apart almost immediately every. single. time. I ended up having to steal the ~20 year old one from my childhood home that was still working as well as I remember from when I was 5 years old! I noticed that that one didn't seem to have a blade of any sort and just left a sort of crimping effect that lifted the lid from the side, but I could not for the life of me find something similar. I don't know why the sharp ones were the only ones on the market, but I was getting so frustrated that I couldn't find this other type! Then magically one day this one showed up! It seems to use the same type of mechanism - it goes around the side of the can leaving ridges and no sharp edges, and because its on the side and not cutting into the top, there's no digging into the can to get the lid off! Cannot recommend enough!!

I'm amazed I didnt know about this type of seam-cutting can opener. It's much safer, super easy to use and leaves zero sharp edges. It makes taking the stuff out of the can easier since no lip is left. And being able to use the top as a lid is a bonus. Also the blade never touches the food in the can and no metal can fall inside or contaminate the contents. The can also is now super easy to clean and rinse for recycle. I now use this to open even pull top cans, for all the above reasons. The only drawback I've even encountered is in one type of can with an odd shaped profile, I needed to cut the bottom end rather than the top, but that's hardly an issue. I sometimes foster a cat that eats half a can of wet food everyday, and this can opener will simplify managing that half-can tremendously. I don't get why this isnt the dominant design of can opener today.

This things works well to open all sizes of cans, including gallon sized. A good deal and a quality product. I have had it for nearly a year and still working well. Easy to wash and cuts the seam of the can so no sharp edges.

Clever in the way it doesn't leave sharp edges. It's very different in its operation from all other can openers. Even if your can has a pull tab, I urge you to still use this opener instead, as you'll not leave sharp edges on the can or the lid, and you'll be able to put the lid back on the can. In short, this is better than any other opener.

Confesso que na primeira vez não acertei muito bem o encaixe, mas agora não quero outra coisa pra abrir latas. Corte limpo, uso suave, eficiente, não deixa aquelas pontas que machucam. Indico.

De verdad tienen que probarlo para que se sorprendan de la misma manera que yo, es demasiado práctico y fácil de usar, abre las latas de un modo que no solo las deja sin filo que es lo más importante obviamente, pero también deja la lata de cierto modo que pueda volver a ser tapada con la misma hojalata que se desprende para abrirla, así que si no usas todo el producto de la lata puedes taparlo sin problema y volverlo a abrir con la mano sin mayor complicación, en serio no se arrepentirán de adquirir este producto, vale cada centavo, de hecho le compré uno más a mi mamá y su impresión fue la misma, no lo podía creer...vale totalmente la pena!
