- Country Life Cal-Snack - Chewable Calcium Magnesium Supplement wafers with Vitamin D3, Easy to Digest, Vanilla Orange Flavor, Dietary Supplement

Big tablets. Hard to chew. Taste is fine.

Love taking this supplement for so many reasons. We all need magnesium. It helps me sleep. It helps keep me regular. And I love crunching these yummy wafers.

The description of the product listed says 120 wafers, but the image shows 60, I received 60 count. However, with that being said, the total Mg of Magnesium and Mg of Calcium amount was double the amount than was listed in the product description which happens to be the daily dose I needed anyways, so it worked out ok. Thankfully. I ordered these for my son, who's been having some concentration, hyperactivity and lack of ability to control his behavior in school. He's been struggling for a few years now with this, and as a parent I contemplated for so long to take him to a doctor to have him tested for ADHD, but just didn't feel right about it as I knew they'd likely diagnose him with it (he shows the most obvious and clear signs of the behavior) and put him on Ritalin. Instead I finally did some research and found that the majority of kids on prescription drugs for hyperactivity, are kids who simply show a Calcium and Magnesium deficiency, for some reason or another their bodies do not absorb these from foods they eat, even if they are eating healthy already. And what I found is that it was recommended to supplement these children with vitamins instead. So far within 2+ weeks of taking this supplement, he has been showing signs of improvement! Much better alternative than drugging our children just to calm them down to a level of what society expects out of them... This is also a great alternative than those large pills, kids have a hard time swallowing them, and both my boys love the taste of these. The good thing is that these don't contain aspartame, which most chewable, good tasting ones do. I do have to ensure that they have something in their tummies before they take them, as it can make them feel a little nauseous on an empty stomach, even if they do eat right after, just seems to sit better with them that way. I would say eat first, then take these rather than the other way around. And so my one son doesn't feel as if something is wrong with him because he is singled out and has to take a pill, our whole family is taking them. And within a couple weeks I too have been feeling more focused at work, appear to have a bit more motivation in accomplishing goals and remembering things that I normally wouldn't have before!! Great product!!

Doesn’t taste bad, Worth the Price

I've been purchasing these calcium tablets for quite a while and this is the first time these don't taste the same. I don't know if there is something missing in the ingredients but it doesn't have an Orange-vanilla taste.

This is the best calcium supplement I have found for avoiding an upset stomach during the digestion process of the calcium and magnesium. To my knowledge, Country Life is the only company that makes this product available in a chewable form. I appreciate the availability of the Value Size, as I consume two tablets daily - and the amount of calcium and magnesium per tablet is just what the doctor ordered. I am usually very satisfied with this product offered by Amazon, and it's so convenient to have free delivery because I have a very full schedule and find it difficult to get to the vitamin store. However, this particular bottle that just arrived looks like it might be a bit old. When I opened it, I noticed that there were more broken tablets than usual, and the residue from the tablets was coating the inner bottle.

I opted for Country Life Cal-Snack, Chewable Calcium, Magnesium with Vitamin D, 1000mg due to the convenience of chewable tablets, as I found other calcium supplements too large to swallow. While I've trusted Country Life as a brand in the past, my recent experience has left me disappointed. From the beginning, I noticed that this product often caused slight stomach discomfort. However, I persisted, expecting to see the positive effects that calcium supplements usually provide. To my dismay, I observed no noticeable changes in my body. Typically, when I take calcium, it's evident in the improved condition of my nails. It wasn't until I switched to another brand with the same claimed 1000 mg of calcium that I saw results. Within three days, my nails started growing long and strong, which led me to believe that Country Life's product may not truly contain the amount of calcium it claims. In conclusion, I'm dissatisfied with the Country Life Cal-Snack. The discomfort and lack of results have led me to question the accuracy of the dosage, and I've found more effective alternatives elsewhere.
