Thriving Through Uncertainty: Moving Beyond Fear of the Unknown and Making Change Work for You

Exquisitely timely and brilliant; written by an inspired, unstoppable force of love and guidance!
Disclaimer: I had already totally fallen in love with Tama and her two previous books, This Time I Dance, and Inspired and Unstoppable, which I devoured like a VERY hungry hungry caterpillar… her writing was sharp, exquisite and brilliant; her messages piercingly wise, spot on and laser clear, as if she had written these books Just For Me, like she KNEW me and what I longed for and needed. Then she did this ‘nother brilliant thing: she started an Online Tribe on FaceBook, which dropped me into a whole other level of real time participation and support with Tama and others who shared the desire to Dance and be Unstoppable. And now: she pens yet another amazing and gorgeous book about uncertainty and thriving, THIS book. I started flagging things that spoke to me… and soon realized that it would have been a lot easier and less costly to flag the things that DIDN’T. (Although several reads in, it is becoming obvious that pretty much everything is speaking to me if not now, later) Every section, each part carries messages that make me want to weep for the pure recognition of being seen and gently, beautifully and clearly led to another way of seeing things, being in this uncertain life and (gasp!) even thriving in this place of knowing and not knowing. It is pure brilliance, once again. Tama’s gifts of teaching, leading, encouraging and supporting are unsurpassed and her writing an incredible gift to anyone trying to decide, know, trust, survive, thrive in a world, in a life, that can be challenging. Whether it’s a career, business, dreams, relationship, or issues of self/healing, this book, Thriving Through Uncertainty is artistry, a gorgeous wonderfully weighted blanket of love and comfort and wisdom, of affirmation and possibility… a cocoon that holds us and guides us, keeps us safe but fully aware as we grow into ourselves, until our own beautiful wings are preparing to be or are ready to fly, monarchs that we all have the potential to be… I have re-read Thriving Through Uncertainty now several times. Each time, I add new flags, as new parts and pieces speak-whisper-sing-shout out loud to me. It is my go to book, I have gifted it to family and friends, and strongly encourage you to gift yourselves similarly. woooohoooooo! Here's to THRIVING.

Loved this book
If you're going through a transition that feels overwhelming or just not sure what direction feels best, I would recommend this book. I found it to be down to earth and inspiring with a bunch of techniques and resources to have for now and down the road as well.

From One Transition Expert to Another
Tama is an amazing writer. She both gives tangible "to do" practices while in the midst of transition while alternatively, giving such compassionate permission to do nothing or what the Western Mind thinks is nothing, at certain points in the process. Giving her readers coaching that is gentle and kind but tangible and funny makes the read easy but one does feel compelled to "take it easy", and read it slowly to absorb it all.Further, if you have a chance to do a workshop or personal coaching with Tama, do it. It is well worth the investment!Dr. Toni Galardi

Easy to read. I like the exercises and reminders at the end of each chapter. Well written and easy to follow!
I’d recommend to anyone in transition or making a life decision. I love that she summarizes each chapter at the end.

Get. This. Book.!!!!
Usually I fly through Tama's books; with her sense of humor and just how much she 'gets' me, I tend to read them in almost one sitting. But with her latest book, I am finding that I am slowly reading every ounce of it as though it was a slow cooker cooking a fabulous meal. I want to savor and marinate every ounce of her words and ideas. It is so honest and inspiring, and I'm less than halfway in! Tama has outdone herself on Thriving Through Uncertainty. I've read all of her books and this is quite definitely her best yet. The exercises make you think. They make you get real. They make you get uncomfortable. And that's exactly what you need if you're going to truly make changes and thrive. I highly recommend reading and studying Tama's words in this latest work of hers. I dare you to thrive! Thanks Tama, for always being exactly where I need you to be. I'm a little selfish that way. ;)

The Owner's Manual for Wobbly (Pandemic) Times
Hands down, this is THE most compassionate, supportive Owner’s Manual for anyone dodging the arrows of anxiety brought on by…oh, a pandemic, for instance…or anything else - job losses, health scares, career transitions, relationship dissolutions...the wisdom, blended with Tama's straight-shooter hilarity, is truly applicable to any shaky time when it’s hard to see around the bend. Grateful to be sheltering in place with this book on my nightstand. It’s my go-to for daily, repetitive uncertainties during the virus (“what does this all mean for the future?!?” and “when will we go back to normal?”), but I've read it twice before. It has grounded me through prior bouts of nail biting...each time I read it, something nuanced and rich bubbles up to support me.

A very wise book from someone with a boatload of experience in living authentically!
I have been following Tama since 2004 when I read her first book, This Time I Dance. It changed my life for the good. So I was thrilled to see that Tama had a new book out, one that so beautifully chronicles her own journey and helps you gently along your own. What I love about Tama's newest book is she shows you from her own first-hand experiences how life isn't a straight road with no bumps or detours along the way. Sometimes even the GPS quits working. However, you can create the life you want, even if you don't follow all the rules of society.Tama spoke at one of my events back in 2004 and I remember her agonizing over marketing. She was determined she was not going to be swept into the chaos and cacophony of the marketing gurus of the day. Tama was committed to following her heart and inner guidance. What a delight to see the results of her courage and trust. What a sterling example for those of us who don't want to have our businesses and lives dictated to by what is the latest and greatest in marketing.Whether you own a business or not, whether you are in relationship or not, all of us face uncertainty multiple times a day. Tama cuts to the chase eloquently, genuinely and honestly. You can't help but learn something while you grow in appreciation for who you are. This is a book I will reread and reread anytime I need some wise counsel and guidance in my life. Don't just survive - THRIVE!

HELPFUL & INSPIRING
I am not a speed reader, and Tama suggests right up front to nibble through the book in any order or pace that suits you. I have, however, read enough to say that Tama writes from the heart, and from very practical life experience. This book is easy to read, and very helpful and inspiring....It will help you see through the fog and the funk,...It will help you see the difference a shift in perspective can make...It will help you be OK with whatever pace or stage you are at.If you’ve read Tama’s other books, you’ll enjoy the format of this one. Same great Tama, different format and some new sharings. If you haven’t read any of Tama’s books, this is a great one to start, and if you like what you read, move back through her other great works ☺

Holds key points to living through uncertainty.
Read this book while our 10 year old dog was passing on. It's words conveyed comfort so we bought a copy to send to a family member who is experiencing the trauma of a spouse with a terminal illness.
