Gefu "Polito Ceramic Hob Cleaner, Stainless Steel, Multi-Colour

Apart from chipping the corner of the blade at the first pass (pilot error) I had no problems. The tool is sturdy and very easy to use. I decided to pay extra for German engineering, having read reviews of cheaper scrapers that bend under pressure. I can report that the Gefu hob cleaner made short work of soot deposits on the log burner glass, and took off every scrap of baked on grease on my oven door. I sprayed the glass with mild kitchen spray (not the bleach kind) just to keep the glass wet while I worked. This is recommended, to keep a thin water emulsion on the surface so that you don't scratch the glass. 5 minutes and the job was done. The tool didn't come with spare blades, so I recommend ordering a pack of these at the start.
