i'm getting a yorkie puppy who is about a 1 1/2 pounds picking up at airport and want something cozy to put on would xs or small work?

My Chihuahua puppy rescue was about 12oz. I purchased the xx small and it was still a little to big. I realize my case is different. This was an abanded puppy. The sweater though is quite thick. When he grew and he was rehomed it fit him. He was then about a 1 lb 10 oz. Xxs. Hope that helps.

Since the sweater is sold by length and chest circumference it is hard to say what size the dog would wear. You could guess and exchange it if it didn't fit. A chubbier dog would probably need a bigger size. The sweater is very stretchy and it is very well made.
