I've used a few brands of similar products and this one gives the most bang for the buck. I was hesitant to try it as the more expensive stuff was working, but went ahead and gave it a try. We have a pond full of corn fodder from neighboring fields. It is not just a little bit either. This cleared it up really well for much cheaper If it does not work for you, you likely have other issues as well. If you used a lot of chemicals to kill the algae, this may not be as effective until some of that settles as it will kill these bacteria as well
