Easy to use
Great product

Easy to use and good results.
Really pretty and easy to use! Though I had to put 5 coats on, (we have dark countertops), it turned out really pretty. I recommend for the marble design to lay down a line of grey, then use a wide brush blending back and forth to soften the edges, before stippling and going in with details. If you get it on appliances, you can use steel wool to buff it off.

Pretty good results for the price pointโฆ
I bought this product to try on an old bar cart I picked up on marketplace. It was in rough conditionโ dirty, yellowed, and stained. I was able to clean up the wood, but the faux marble top stained beyond redemption. I didnโt want to spend a fortune for such a small project, so this kit fit the bill. The instructions were clear, and a few videos online helped with learning the marbling technique. Looking at real marble really helps to learn how the lines usually run and how there are usually subtle darker areas. Use an artist brush to lay out lines in very small sections at a time, keep a spray bottle on hand to mist the lines, and stipple/lightly brush to feather the lines and blend them. I took my time going over the surface the first time blending the lines pretty well, and then I did another pass darkening a few lines to add depth. The top coat was easy to apply and dried quickly. My only complaint about the look of the top coat is that even using the recommended roller the finish has a bumpy โorange peelโ look instead of a smooth surface like real stone or even polyurethane. I canโt speak to the durability because it hasnโt been long enough, and this little project will never get the rough use of a kitchen or bathroom countertop. (But Iโll update my review if durability becomes an issue.) As for ease of application, Iโd say itโs a good product. I only wish the finish was smooth

So far so good!
The look of this turned out exactly the way I hoped. However, Iโm unsure about the durability. After following all the steps exactly to a tee, several spots completely peeled the paint off when I was rolling on the top coat and accidentally hit the counter with the metal part of the roller. Iโm hoping itโs just because it hasnโt had the full 7 days to cure, so we will see how it lasts. As for the look, it turned out great. The key is to dabble the gray paint in a line with a large paint brush (one you would use to paint walls or baseboards) then spray enough water to where the mineral paint spreads on its own. Then go back in with a paintbrush and napkin to clean it up. Only giving 4 stars because of how easily the white coat peeled away after slightly hitting it with the roller. The base coat was drying for 36 hrs at that point and I donโt think it shouldโve peeled away that easily. However, the look of this product is exactly what I wanted! UPDATE: I 10000% REGRET USING THIS KIT!!!! I feel like if I just breathe wrong, the countertops chip. There are literally hundreds of chips and scratches allllllll over the counters after just a couple weeks of light use. Iโm so upset!!!!

Looks Great, Easier Than I thought
We have some old white formica countertops in a ski condo that we were thinking of replacing. Since it is a galley kitchen we weren't too keen on spending big bucks to replace the countertops. This was one of the few DIY projects I have ever done that was easier than I expected (I have a general rule that things take 20% longer than expected which works well). This was a piece of cake. Instructions are idiot-proof. The only thing I did differently than the instructions (kind of by mistake) was blending the grey marbling lines by "dry-brushing" them afterwards with just a touch of paint on the tip of the brush. Fewer is more on the gray marbling lines to make it look authentic. The blending part is key to making the "line" look real; just play around with it. *Google some photos of patterns you like. You can always just paint the lines over and redo them til your happy. I would recommend this product.

Easy & low cost bathroom countertop update
Easy step by step process. Helped update an old bathroom at a low cost. We will use again for the other bathrooms. They only negative I thought it would give more of a glossy look.

Looks good but not super durable
I had high hopes. This went on pretty easily and I love the way it looks however, it chipped after a week. We waited the whole 7 days for it to cure before putting anything hard on it but it got a scratch as soon as we started using it. So far it's only one small area and it still looks nice overall.

Easy refresher
Fairly easy to use once you get over your insecurity of drawing your lines. I wish it was a little glossier, I'm going to do a light sand and try to add some more and see if it's just the fact I didn't add enough. But all in all, I love the look without replacing the whole built-in cabinet!!!

works perfectly

If buy kit I would buy a top coat vanish.
It goes yellow over time. The top coat not hard enough I drop a saucepan lid on it and put a nick in bench. Paint is good .

Open all cans before starting the job.
The base coat worked amazing but the top coat was hard and unusable. I had already applied the base coats and veining but was unable to apply the top coat rendering my countertop unusable at the moment.

Not worth it
Followed all the steps and it still failed to stick to benchtop despite leaving it for 7 days and using multiple coats. Would not recommend
