Oil did the trick.
My wife needed glass shelves cut for her curio cabinets. I was having difficulty cutting the glass without breakage. I used this oil on my glass cutting blade and I was able to cut a shelf without issue. I think my blade just needed lubricant so it could glide and this oil did the trick. Now on to completing the remaining shelves she requested. Worked well, easy to use, would recommend.

Great product that made a big job so much easier!
We bought this because we are building partial walls out of cut bottles. And boy-oh-boy did we need to find an easier way! This little unit works exactly as advertised. Keep in mind that it WILL NOT cut the bottle all the way thruโฆ itโs not supposed to and that expectation is totally unrealistic. It simply scores the glass. We have cut everything from wine bottles to beer bottles to Jarrito bottles and everything in between. If the glass is smooth and not ribbed, itโs going to work. While itโs easy to useโฆ you have to follow the instructions and be patient with the process. Any failures is not the fault of the unit itself, itโs simply the luck of the draw. Not every bottle is going to cut perfectly. There are a lot of variablesโฆ. Including the thickness of the bottle. We had been cutting bottle after bottle all day with a lot of success and then tried a Bud Platinum bottle (for that beautiful blue glass) and it shattered almost immediately. It was MUCH thinner than the others and our usual amount of pressure was too much. So we adjusted our technique for different types and have now had great success with the Bud, as well. TECHNIQUE FOR SUCCESS: We found that getting the label and all of the adhesive off first is crucial. You donโt want to dull the blade or have the blade press the adhesive into the exact spot you expect to cut cleanly. Soak the bottles in soapy water, the labels will slide right off. Then we sprayed a Dawn/rubbing alcohol/water spray and used a wire brush or other scrubber, steel wool, etc to get that adhesive. SOAKING in soapy water was way more effective (and cheaper) than Goo-b-gone and all that other stuff. Now youโre ready to use the cutter. Be firm but not crazy. Donโt monkey the heck out of it. Pay attention to where you start the scoring line so you can join it perfectly. DO NOT go around and aroundโฆ one time only. It wonโt look like much but it is enough. Once scored, we would spin the bottle in a pot of VERY HOT BUT NOT BOILING water, heat it up, pull it out, set the bottle sideways in a frying pan with the neck raised on the edge of the pan and slowly spin it while holding an ice cube on the score mark. Repeat as needed: Heat, ice, heat, ice. Sometimes it releases immediately and sometimes it takes a few rotations. But it works. We have been able to cut over 100 bottles so far and have not even changed the blade yet. Well worth the money! The design is simple and effective. Itโs tedious work but this unit helps SO MUCH! Thank you!

Glass cutter, fun timesโฆ
First impressions not so great. The accompanying gloves are child-size. In fairness, the seller refunded me $5.00, so this unit ends up being $5.00 more than advertised after purchase of replacement gloves. I cut my first bottle (see pic). It was a very simple process and actually quite fun! The sanding part was much more laborious than โadvertisedโ requiring a good 30 minutes of sanding effortโฆ and, still the glass isnโt nearly smooth enough. Also, I quickly discovered that the provided sandpaper grade is neither course enough for the rough cut, nor fine enough for the finish work. Considering the glass bottle holder is of good quality (and inexpensive), it is worth the $25 I spent ($30 after replacement gloves purchase). That said, know that you will have to invest more time and money than expected into the actual projectโespecially if you want something that you can actually/safely use to drink out of. I choose to frame the time/effort I spend with this as a mindfulness session. Because of the effort this vendor placed in reaching out for correcting this situationโIโm inclined to re-rate this product at 5-star. Now I just have to figure out how to smooth the glass quicker and with more ease for achieving a smoother surface.

Great little grinder for beginners
Love this small grinder for traveling in the winter in the Rv. Great for the beginner that doesnโt want to spend a lot of money upfront. I buy these for my classes when I teach and recommend them to new students just starting out. Quality & sturdiness is top notch. Easy to use & clean.

Fun little tool
So far it works great. Use a bigger one at my stained glass class so far just doing touchups on it. Happy with the performance. Easy to clean if you work on a tray to carry it to dump the water. Nice not to have to use a sponge (not sure how they do that)
