Bought this to make a keel guard for my fishing kayak. Worked great! Just hit it with a heat gun for a few minutes then form it up against whatever you're trying to cover. Nice and flexible once its hot just have to watch out that you dont overheat it, if the texture starts changing then its too hot, if you go any farther it will start to bubble and burn. Thse sheets were the perfect size for my project, and made an awesome scractch and scrape resistant barrier over the common wear areas on my kayak. Way cheaper than buying one of the pre formed keel guards plus in my opinion the smoother texture of this is going to cut through the water nicer. Great little DIY project that only took a few hours and was less than a quarter of the price of a pre-made one.

Great Stuff works great for knife sheaths

Made a bash guard for my electric mountain bike. Even better than a mass produced one. A fine toothed saw blade at low speed is best for cutting. it can be done with a very sharp utility knife and scoring again and again and but you get the idea. Takes a long time to cut this stuff with a sharp blade. Saw is better and safer. I read up on the heat to use in the oven, and wore cloth mechanic gloves when handling the hot plastic sheet to form into my bash guard. Using hook and loop straps to keep it secured tot he bike. Worked mint!!

First time trying my hand at Kydex. I was not aware of how much this would shrink when heated. I'm posting this just in case this is helpful information for someone else. It shrunk in the 12" length, but not in the 8" width. If you are like me and need a final length of 12", get something bigger. The product itself seems good otherwise.
