Otamatone: Deluxe (White)
A fun, quirky instrument with a splash of character! The Otamatone isn't the easiest instrument to play but like anything, if you have the dedication and make the effort to learn then you can play a variety of tunes. I mainly got this as décor with the intention of entertaining guests should they want to give it a go (it does bring a lot of laughs and a couple of my musician friends seem to love playing with it).It produces a unique and interesting sound that either you'll love or find really annoying.I would definitely advise looking online for Otamatone content before committing to purchase; though I assume most people looking at this product are here because of just that. Personally, I love mine, even if I'm not great at playing it.

Fun for the player not for the listeners !!!
Bought for teen son. He loves it. Very expensive for what it is I think. Makes all musical notes by putting finger on the neck and moving it along to the other notes. Open and close the mouth at the same time to make a different or louder tone. Has a couple of sound tone settings - the high tone setting brings cats from the next town It can be plugged into an amp or speaker (no idea why anyone would want to!!!) has NO headphone jack so be prepared to have the delightful tones ringing in your ears for hours !! Has a volume knob also and takes aa batteries can be plugged into mains I think notTotally sure - not going to find it to check incase he sees it and starts playing it (again!)

One of the most epic instruments of our time.
An incredible instrument, brandished by some of the musical masters of the world.Whip it out at karaoke, gala events, church fete's… Provide unprovoked backing music to a strangers life stories as they chat loudly on the bus.The only bummer is that the Line Out does not seem to work and the Intonation changes when the octaves are switched. If these things are fixed, I would love to take this on stage and pretend to be serious.

Fun to play!
This is a strange and fun instrument. It's a challenge to play a recognisable tune on it, but that's not the point. Just experiment and have a laugh with it!

I LOVE IT!!
This is the second Otamatone that I have. The first was a present from Japan four years ago, and I wanted a back up one in case the first one ever broke. I use it in a stage act. My first otamatone I built a hard case for it, because as it is made of plastic and I thought it probably could easily be broken. However,it is still going strong four years later after being lugged around the country in a backpack all that time. I play it every day. The thing that gives it its unique character is the "Wah Wah" effect of opening and closing the mouth, which makes it sound like a small toddler learning to talk. They are quite difficult to learn how to play, but that is part of the fun of the instrument. I recommend you buy some rechargable batteries for it as it does use a lot of battery power.

Overpriced toy
More of a toy than an instrument. Difficult to get a good sound out of it.Very overpriced.I’ve persevered by practicing daily, but in hindsight should have returned.
