Great quality. I’m getting lovely results with these pencils. The box was priced well and a great addition to my art media. It would be a great gift.

These pencils are magnificent. The pigments are lush and deep and vibrant. I actually prefer to use these pencils dry, layer them, and burnish them for an effect that is very much akin to that of an oil painting. Unlike the Prismacolor watercolor pencils, these pencils remain sharp and never seem to break; they also achieve a much better point than either the Prismas or the Faber-Castell Albrecht Durer pencils. Dry, these pencils are lovely, deft, and precise and achieve wonderfully fine details. I use them wet to achieve much looser and more painterly watercolor effects! The black is nearly as darkly pigmented as the black in the Derwent Drawing Pencils set. The lightfastness is excellent, too, and I'm very comfortable using these pencils to create art work that I sell in the certain knowledge that--unlike Derwent's Inktense and Derwent's Graphitint (used wet), both of which feature miserable ratings in terms of lightfastness--these pencils are archival. I'd give these pencils ten stars if I could!

I enjoy working with these watercolor pencils. I had to adjust how hard I bear down on paper with the pencils because they are softer than other pencils I have used. I love the pigments of these pencils and I absolutely love the wooden box that they came in. This would make an excellent gift for the artist or for a person like me who loves to tinker with all kinds of mediums to create things for my home.

Box/Presentation: 3.5/5 There was clear evidence of wear on the dust cover, and crusty fingerprints on the dust cover which was a big turnoff. Surprised that there was no shrink wrap on the box to protect the full package so you would probably have to take off the dust cover if you want to give it as a gift. Upon opening, the pencils were well secured with a magnetic wooden strip, a very thoughtful feature. I don't know how old these boxes are but the black foam that should be attached at the top to protect the tips both fell off, making me very confused upon opening the box. The adhesive wasn't strong enough to hold the foam, but some of the pencils got stuck to the adhesive. Pencils 4.5/5 Found a few pencils chipped (4 at most) and oddly enough one of the pencils were out of order (the pencils are numbered 1-72). Dunno if that was a mix up in quality control but I'm under the impression that the set has been opened before. The colors variety of the pencils are great and the quality is as expected from Derwent.

Was bought as a gift and was well received. My friend took this to his art lass and his instructor had the rest of the class ogle his gift. I purchased this a a Amazon daily special at a great deal. This became a gift I know was appreciated.

No broken pencils upon arrival; however, the magnetic bar that holds them in place did come loose and there were several pencils loose when I opened the box. Otherwise, great pencils and neat wooden box in which to store them. I look forward to using them more.

I would love to give this 5 starts but instead of shipping the 72 count in the wood box I was shipped the 24 count in the metal tin. Not happy.

Tanto la caja como los lápices han llegado perfectos. Muy bonitos colores.

La caja de lápices me llego con el lápiz nº 55 repetido. El caso es que hace ya días q lo recibí, y me he dado cuenta ahora. Voy a llamar a Amazon y poner una reclamación.

La presentación es buena , pero siento decirles que la calidad de los pigmentos de los lápices es muy inferior a la calidad que tenía Derwenr whatetcolour hace bastantes años atrás .
