Nice barrettes,they seem to be well made and sturdy.The price was good and they do a good job of keeping my thick hair in place .The material they are made from seems sturdy ,and the barrettes are easy to use and stylish.

These barrettes are so pretty with a nice variety of colors. I have fine, curly hair and these barrettes stay in place. The size it perfect and the clasp is easy to snap shut when I’m trying to hold my hair in place. I’m very pleased with this purchase.

I love these... I'm wearing one now. They stay clasped well. There's a curved inner piece in addition to the decorative outer bar and the metal part that goes underneath the hair, to press against the hair and help the barrette stay in place. I really like the white barrette; I've also worn the pink one. Haven't tried a tortoiseshell one yet. (A few of those are a bit transparent, so that you can see the metal part of the barrette through the decorative tortoiseshell bar.) I wasn't as fond of the multicolored barrette... but Mom loves it, so that one is now hers. Oh, and because the design of the barrette isn't one-directional, it works equally well if you clasp it on the left side or on the right side.

This barrette lost one star because it is very short and could not contain all of my hair (the clip part is less than three inches long.) Even though some reviewers said they held their pony tail, It did not close shut on my pony tail. I have thin, fine, slippery shoulder length hair; it is not thick hair at all. However, the barrettes are built well, and attractive. If you use them for holding up a portion of your hair, like over your ear, they are fine. Lovely color choices. Your hair does not slip, which is a plus! Just know that they won't hold many people's entire pony tail. Buy longer barrettes to ensure they can hold a full pony tail.

Great barrettes! My hair is fine AND thin. I have had such a hard time finding barrettes that work for me. There is room for improvement, but I have not found any better. I recommend them!

I am 77 and have long hair. Unfortunately, my hair has thinned with age, and does not hold curl well with summer humidity. This summer I have been working on a garden we have around our patio, so I have been putting my hair in a ponytail to keep it out of my face and off my neck. All but one of my barrettes could hold my hair in a ponytail without sliding down.When I found these barrettes, I decided to try them. These barrettes hold my hair in a ponytail without slipping. They are so very easy to clip shut and to open when you want to remove them. Since the inner part of the clamp is flexible, I'm sure these would also work for thicker hair, but would hold a bit tighter. I love the colors and they add a little pizazz to my thin ponytail.I would recommend these barrettes for thin hair, and hope this review was helpful for you.

Held my hair nicely. Did not become unlatched stayed in place and they are pretty colors.

These are very pretty hair clips, however, one broke before I even used it. The clip broke away from the celluloid. The rest are fine. They grip the hair well when used with small amounts of hair, like pulling back long bangs off the face. I find that they can pull my hair. I have moved away from using this type of clip for that reason. If you like these kinds of clips then these are just fine with a nice selection of colours and patterns.
