Bad Habit

10 HOPELESSLY ADDICTIVE STARS!
“I need him like a bad habit—one that I don’t want to kick.”Ooh la la!! If you crave an UBER ANGSTY best friend’s baby sister tale featuring a smoking hot, angry AF hero, and a sweet, hopelessly smitten good girl who loves said broody bad boy with her whole heart and soul, then feed your addiction with BAD HABIT by Charleigh Rose! I swear I fall harder in love with Charleigh Rose’s writing with each new book she publishes, and GAH does this INTOXICATING older brother’s best friend saga strike a chord!!This edgy New Adult novel was a delectable fusion of tortured young love, gut-wrenching angst, and blissful passion with FIERY DISCORD and DRAMA GALORE!!!!! Briar and Asher exude so much combustible chemistry it literally POURS off the page, and their connection is so beautiful and soul deep, ugly and raw and unfiltered that it’s evident from the onset that these two are just MADE for each other! Even when they are too stubborn to admit it. There is an emotional depth and complexity to this forbidden love tale that is absolutely mind-blowing…and the sex scenes? Yowza! They are so scorching hot, and scintillatingly choreographed, they made me tingle from head to toe!BAD HABIT was masterfully crafted. Through a series of well-timed flashbacks juxtaposed with the present story, Charleigh Rose flawlessly captured the raw, aching emotion and the bittersweet poignancy of young love, whilst flawlessly exploring the powerful themes of forbidden lust, betrayal, mistrust, lost innocence, the arduous bonds of family and friendship, and, finally, the healing power of forgiveness. This is the kind of all-consuming story that hooks you from PAGE ONE, and I was so fixated on this couple I could BARELY BREATHE through some scenes. From start to finish, I had a huge lump in my throat, a massive ache in my chest and I yearned desperately for this couple, who cannot quit each other no matter how hard they try, to find their way back together! And the central story is bolstered by a colorful cast of supporting characters that added wonderful levity to this tale.I LOVED Asher! He possesses a quiet, smoldering James Dean-esque intensity –the ultimate bad boy hero with a heart of gold. He can be sweet, chivalrous, fiercely protective, sinfully sexy and gruffly tender…and when his Alpha caveman comes out you WILL need a spare change of panties! But sheesh…he sure has a nasty side to him too! In fact, he is so hot-tempered, crude, callous and cruel at times, he leaves you spitting mad. But SOB! It’s hard to hold a grudge because he still bears the scars of a traumatic childhood and is just so hurt and damaged and profoundly lost you can’t help but want to hold him, love him, fix him!The object of his wrath--and his greatest weakness--is his best friend Dash’s baby sister! He loves Briar even when he hates her. She is the one addiction he can't break and vice versa. And speaking of Briar…wow! What a sweet, endearing, utterly EXTRAORDINARY heroine. I cherished her big, beautiful heart, her purity of soul, her deep, abiding love for the boy whom she's been infatuated with forever! Even though Asher has changed drastically since they’ve been apart and inexplicably treats her with such biting contempt at first it cuts her to the core—she always sees the good in him and he is the only guy who makes her heart beat faster! It's hard to read a book like this and emerge unscathed. Throughout the course of this emotionally charged romance, in between stolen kisses and angry, heated exchanges, these two slowly but surely strip each other bare and bring one another to the height of rapturous pleasure and the depth of agonizing, crushing despair. Finally culminating in a huge emotional reckoning that decimates!!!! But when all is said and done, after Charleigh Rose shatters my heart to smithereens but then ever so miraculously fuses all the broken shards together again, I am left rejoicing in the fact that true love, in its purest, most brutally honest form, is SO WORTH THE FIGHT!FINAL IMPRESSIONS:BAD HABIT is one wildly addictive read I oh so happily succumbed to! So if you crave a DELICIOUS coming of age tale with red-hot passion, swoony feels and a tear-jerker HEA that leaves you breathless, then get your next fix with this WONDEROUS romance!

Hello Asher ;)
Charleigh Rose is a new-to-me author that someone recommended on Instagram and so when I saw that cover I decided why the heck not! I AM SO GLAD I READ THIS BOOK!!The characters where simply amazing. They were all written in such a way that I felt like I knew them in real life (or at least people exactly like them haha) and I wanted to read their story. This was one of those books that I could not put down because I had to know what happened!!!I love love love that Briar was such a bold character. Right from the get go you can tell that she doesn't take crap and she loves with all she is and to me that is simply the best. I also really loved that she caught there was something off with Asher and his belief that she did something wrong to make him leave. She knew from the start something was off and tried to address it several times which was a breath of fresh air considering we tend to get a lot of oblivious characters in a comedy of errors type of situation! What it boils down to is I absolutely loved Briar and she was probably one of the best characters I have read in awhile from a new to me author.Oh beautiful Asher. Even when he was a jerk he wasn't really. He was a scared man looking for a place to belong and someone to care for and about him. I am so glad he could see Briar for who she was and let her be that woman for him. Their story was a great love story and I cannot add it to my re-read list fast enough.Overall this was a great read and I think that it will be coming back to my TBR list this summer by the pool. I will also definitely be adding Charleigh Rose to my list of authors to read. Her writing is well done and pulls you in without any interruptions in the flow or story, creating a book you can get lost in

5 TROUBLED stars! A bad boy is waiting inside for you. Be prepared for a delicious taboo...
Holy unicorns! I am left speechless and with a BIG book hangover. Charleigh Rose has just ruined me in a sweet and twisted way. This is the first time I read something of her and I am amazed by her talent with words. Her writing is smooth, steamy and well built.Bad Habit is a stunning and mind-blowing reading you MUST NOT miss. It is one of the best books I have the pleasure to read over the year. It has all the elements that make it a piece of taboo art. Carleigh did a great combination of those elements that blown my mind: the age difference of the characters, the prohibited feelings, the hurt, the damaged bad boy, the good girl with no regrets, the lust, the attraction, the hope and the love. All brilliantly put together to create a masterpiece. I can't find a greater enjoyment than reading this book.I have left with a great smile on my face because this book was a good way to spend my day. The peace was fast and steady with a lot of curves that had me at the edge of a heart attack. The characters are complex and well developed. Carleigh gifted us a BAD BOY with a GOLDEN HEART.This book is about a fierce and raw love story. The hero is a bad boy and the heroine is a good (young) girl. The age difference is an abyss between them but they will fall into temptation. The attraction is too intense and electrifying. A kiss, a mistake and a misunderstanding will seal their fate.Briar knows what her young heart desires nevertheless she is still a teenager. She wants Asher, his brother's best friend. She never tough that he felt the same.Asher is a rare kind of bad boy. His life was raw since his mom died. He wasn't born with the same privileged life like his friends. He is the boy who was tempted by his best friend's little sister. They boy who has not future. The boy who left everything. A bad habit.I love Asher, he is just himself. A hard boy with a tender heart. A fallen angel with dark wings who embrace the pain and endure his heart. He just have one weakness and/or strength: Briar. He is the damaged boy with a strong heart that beats for only one little girl. He thinks he does not deserve to be loved. (That breaks my heart) Briar will teach him that he worth the fight. This book is NOT a cliché. It is a bookish delightful. You will be captivated by the way the story goes. So smooth and easy but with some peaks that will have you at the edge of the abyss.I am glad that Asher was the who just popped my cherry. And from now on I won't miss a book of this talented lady. I extremely recommend you this book. This is a must read that will exceed your bookish expectations. Be prepared to blush like a virgin with the steamy scenes. This book will leave you wanting more.

Loved it
Book was really good. Loved all the characters except briar/dash dad. Piece of absolute garbage. The push and pull between these was really good and I absolutely loved them. Hated Jackson too gave me such predator vibes with his incessant behaviour towards briar. Felt bad for Whitley, despite her being annoying and causing such trouble I felt bad for her and whatever she going through. Loved Asher and his devotion to briar. I’m glad his dad finally got to say his leve before he passed and Asher got to close that chapter. absolutely loved the ending and I’m so glad it worked out for them all

I need a bad habit!!
I need a Bad Habit!!!So I'd been seeing Bad Habit blow up my social media feeds. Seriously it was everywhere. So my little finger went one click & I just had to read it right away to see what all the fuss was about. The fuss you ask, what was all the fuss. It was that this book was so enthralling & engaging. I just got lost in it, so fast & so hard. This starts when Briar is 14 & Asher is 17. She's his best friend Dash's baby sister & she likes Asher a lot. More than just like, there's a connection & he seems to feel it too. Now some readers will see that age & immediately be like "Hell no". I get it, but for me it was a non issue because it's a book!!"Bad habits are easy to make and impossible to break, and Asher was the worst addiction of them all. I let him crawl inside my body, and he burned me from the inside out, leaving nothing but ashes in his absence."Fast forward 3 years & after being gone all this time with no good bye, Asher is back. It seems that even with all this time & some underlying issues between them they still can't stay away from each other."But, what I feel for Briar transcends logic, rules, and societal norms. She’s so deeply ingrained in me, that I’m not even me without her. My best side was her worst creation."I really, really loved Bry & Ash but also loved the secondary characters & can't wait for more books in this series & I'm not going to give anything away but I hope the author gives one of these characters a M/M book just from something that was implied."Family isn’t just about who shares your blood. It’s about who bleeds for you. Needs you."

One of 2017 favorites! Pick it up!
This was one of my most anticipated reads of the year. I was dying for this to drop on my kindle. And gosh, it was so worth the wait!!It took me 0.2 seconds to fall in love with Asher. My heart hurts thinking about everything he went through. I also really loved Bry, she was such a sweet person and loved so fiercely. And also Dash, Adrian and Nat. They were a spectacular group of friends, even with all the things they hid from each other. I wanted to be part of their group, they had each other's back always. This book was a mix of some of my favorite tropes, falling in love with brother's best friend, forbidden love, friends since childhood, and then a lot of angst through out the whole thing, yes please. This book was seriously everything and I cannot stress how much I loved it. I'm ready to read it again. It was perfect, I just loved reading about these characters so much, everything they went through while they were together and while they were apart. I just loved every moment, no matter how painful it was for them (and for me). I fell completely for Asher and Briar. I couldn't get enough of them.Asher and Briar's love was full of hurdles, first there was the age difference forbidding them from being together, then there's drama with side chicks + a-hole parents and Asher leaves without saying goodbye. Three years later he's back, his abusive drunk father is at death's door and Asher is back to deal with him. While Asher and Bry both resent each other for what happened between them in the past, they are 'forced' together and what they feel for each other is unavoidable no matter how much they want to hate each other for having broken each other's heart 3 years ago. They fight it with tooth and nails but their love is stronger than their stubbornness and so they start a relationship in secret, behind Dash's back and we all know how these things end. Well, it's way worse. The secret doesn't just come out, it implodes, exposing other secrets with it and causing a lot of heartache for all involved. Someone gets hurt. Someone else dies. Asher runs. Everything is a mess.Is Dash and Asher's friendship ruined forever? Will he and Bry ever get the HEA they both deserve? Will Asher finally realize that if he keeps running he's turning out just like his dad? Will he go back to fight for Bry and salvage his friendship with Dash? I don't know, well I do know but I'm not telling you ;) Find out for yourself, pick this baby up. It's so worth it!
