Love the dimmer switch!!!
I got this to power a 5m dimmable COB LED strip and it does so beautifully! The dimmer switch is a gamechanger, especially since the light strip I got is SO bright. Installation/use couldn't be easier, I just plugged in the dimmer module in-between the plug and the light strip and it worked perfectly - on the second try**I don't know if it's the power supply or the light strip (so I'm not docking any stars), but the barrel plug only wants to fit like 90% of the way into the corresponding part of the light strip. This meant the first time I tried it out nothing happened. Upon checking the plug, it looked fully plugged in - plastic to plastic. I unplugged and plugged back in, and same - nothing. I then plugged it in "harder" with more elbow grease and it worked perfectly. Interestingly it doesn't seem to have trouble staying plugged in and staying on now that it's seated wellAnyway, it works fine, and has continued to work fine. Once you have it plugged in it wouldn't be an issue anyway unless you're physically disturbing the barrel plugOverall, 5 stars and good value. Great pairing with the LED strip I got!(My personal "Vine Reviewer" mantra: I never receive items I don't fully intend on using within my own actual household. I typically don't write a review until I've *actually* used the item(s) - don't worry I'll be clear if I haven't - and always attempt to give what I believe to be a fair and detailed evaluation. Neither Amazon nor manufacturers/sellers have any input or influence on my reviews whatsoever)

Sturdy and works well
I love this product for simple projects!I am currently using this to power some led light strips and honestly it works great! It feels very sturdy and its not falling apart any time soon. The one complaint is, the controller in the pictures, makes it look like the controller is small. However this is not the case, the dimmer is a little bit bigger then my thumb. I honestly dont mind this but figured Id mention it for anyone who was thinking about this for a project

I wish the dimmer switch wasn't so bulky
I used this product for a permanent LED install for my gaming desk. Everything was great and the product worked reliably. However, the dimmer dial module is much bigger than I would have liked it to be. Securing it under my desk was a painOther than that, great product

Great
Great power supply for high power leds, or multiple units. Dimmer works well. Easy to hook up.

Sunglasses? Who Needs 'Em?
I am really looking forward to installing this power supply/dimmer permanently. But, you always have to test first, right?I have a 12 watt LED fixture which, at times, produces just a bit more light than required. So, a dimmer of some sort seemed to be the obvious choice. After connecting the fixture to the dimmer-power supply combo, here's what I found:At maximum dimmer setting, 11.7 volts at 1.1 amps going to the fixture. Perfect. At minimum dimmer setting, 8.1 volts at 0.1 amps going to the fixture. The open circuit voltage (no load), using the maximum dimmer setting, is 12.6 volts.Using this dimmer also allowed me to evaluate the fixture at various voltages. I discovered that anything above 11 volts made very little difference in the light output of this particular fixture. Which is good to know. This all seems just about right to me: On this light fixture, I can have full power/brilliance at 12 watts, set it at less than than a watt or anywhere in between. The power supply and dimmer are rated at 24 watts. Meaning my fixture will be well under that limit.I am a happy camper. (Even though this combination will be used in a workshop!)

Dimmer switch doesn't work
Got this just a few minutes ago and I have an immediate use for it so I wanted to test it right away. DC unloaded is a little strong (12.8) but acceptable for most uses. The dimmer/switch doesn't work at all No matter if the switch was off, mid range, of full I still measured full voltage.Since it wasn't working anyway, I took the opportunity to open the dimmer/switch component and take a look. As I expected, it has a small circuit board that likely is supposed to take the DC signal and convert it to a pulse train with the duty cycle proportional to the desired voltage. This is a sound design, but it wasn't immediately obvious what went wrong in execution. The dimmer/switch was the most attractive thing about the package, and since it's not working I can only give this 2 stars for the working wall wart and barrel plug to screw terminal adapter.Item: 12V 2A Power Supply Adapter [UL Listed] with LED Dimmer Switch,24W AC 100-240V to DC 12 Volt 2 Amp Transformers Converter with 5.5mm x 2.1 DC Power Connector for LED Light Strip and Other Device
