Will this fit 7 3/4 size and cover bottom of ears?

Yes, it definitely will. I normally wear that size in a fitted hat or a L/XL in a FlexFit and this beanie can still fit those sizes.

My husband lost his favorite hat, so I gave this to him for Christmas. He loves it so much that it has become his favorite hat. And, he doesn't even miss his old one. It's super soft and very warm. Very well made, and a great color.
