Good morning, i am unsure of the manifold type on my vauxhall zafira and so where would i find the number of the manifold?

You should have a sticker on the manifold itself that will have the part number on. But!!!! Be careful buying these from amazon. I bought them and while the packaging was correct the parts inside were wrong and the garage only found this out when the car was on the ramps in pieces, amazon were poor in fixing the issue. I called XR8 directly and they were fantastic, they even made a special trip to post me the correct part out for next day delivery as I was getting charged by the garage as they couldn't work on other cars. If you call XR8 (number is on Google) give them your reg they will tell you which part you need and you can pay over the phone. I can't thank them enough for their help. Hope this helps!

Does the engine need re mapping if I fit the blanks?

No, as the motor is left running as normal, given there's no other fault codes that have come up prior to the swirl flap removal. Regards, X8R
