Organic Ingredients are certified to USDA NOP standard.
*Potassium Hydroxide is a processing agent, used to turn oils into soap, and is not present in the finished product.

Will this work for washing fruits and veggies in Mexico?

If you mean "wash" as in kill any bacterial contaminants that may be present, no, not at all. It's not a disinfectant wash. A mild solution of chlorine bleach is safe and effective, though. Search the web for more details (look on the USDA website or an ag extension office site, not just any random lunatic-fringe blogger's), but the general idea it to use 1 tablespoon of plain, unscented bleach with no ingredients other than "sodium hypochlorite" at 5.25% concentration per gallon water. (For stronger bleach, you need less, but obviously the exact amount depends on the strength of the bleach in question.) Soak your produce for a few minutes. If you can spare the purified water, rinse in that, or you can also just let it "air dry", chlorine evaporates quickly and as long as you don't exceed the recommended strength, the amount of bleach inolved won't hurt you anyway.
