Dino-Obsessed 2-Year-Old Loves it
Traditional board book with interactive tabs, flaps, wheels and movable illustrations. My two year old LOVES this book and we read it just about every night. Not only that but he's learned some uncommon dinosaur names and facts that you don't usually find in board books.

Don't be fooled by the Smithsonian name
I bought this because it offered many activities and my grandson loves lift the flap books and dinosaurs. It's very disappointing in that the activities are limited and not well designed. The actually story is not very interesting. There are so many better dinosaur books out there.

More about paleontology than dinosaurs
Very sturdy book and very clever for children interested in dinosaurs. I like that it goes more into the paleontology aspect and less into different names of dinosaurs, which was unique.

Good intro book
This is a great introduction to dinosaurs. It was my 2.5 year old first dinosaur book and he loved it. Basic dinosaurs. One opening page (a long long time ago...), one page on land dinos, one page on fossils, one page on air, one page on sea. Love the interactive elements.

My 4 year old niece loves this book
I have a baby and I'm not familiar with the comprehension level of an average 4 year old but I was suitably impressed by how my little niece was not only understanding but enthralled with all the interesting facts. The book is discusses all the different kinds of dinosaurs and at what point they walked the earth and became extinct. It's all laid out chronologically with flaps and visual aids to really illustrate various points. I am still getting compliments from family members about how she loves this book. I also got her a dinosaur that lights up walks and roars which she loves too...

Wow! he yells...
This was a gift for my niece's 2-year old son, and he loves it! He loves being read to, and even better, he loves being able to interact with books. This one lets him do that, and clap and cheer as he does. Highly recommend!

Cute, interactive, and informative
The illustrations are cute, the book is highly interactive, and informative without being too wordy. I also appreciated the phonetic spelling out dinosaur names. Brought this in to my classroom of 2-year olds and it was the most popular dinosaur book. Their favorite page was the pull out page that lists which dinosaurs lived in different time periods. It did get pretty beat up within a couple months of being on their bookshelf, but that's what I expected.

Not for young kids
It's a neat idea , the pictures are nice but there's just to much happening on each page for a younger kid to follow. It's very busy book and most the time the kids are just playing with the pictures and not interested in the information.
