Excellent Drone for Beginners and Kids
I've been mucking around with entry-level drones for indoor flying for years now. I've always like the UDI drones for their durability and ease of control. This little thing is the best drone for kids and beginners that I've tried so far.One of the most unique and best things about this drone is that it's SLOW (painfully slow for experienced users). But for beginners or kids, it's the perfect training drone. It has 3 speed settings, the slowest of which allows you to smoothly glide around indoors. The medium and high speeds never really reach the pace of other mini drones in this class, but for beginners, the speeds are perfect. And for a drone in this low price range it has some admirable features. This mini has headless mode, auto take-off and land; both work great. The altitude hold is good considering this little guy has no external sensors. The build quality is exactly what I expected. It's solid, light with non-removable prop guards and a non-removable battery. UDI gives it an 8 minute flight time but I clocked out at just over 6 minutes of continuous flight, which isn't bad. The battery isn't removable, and the charge time is about 30 minutes, but for a drone this good and inexpensive, just get two.The remote control looks like the standard for this class of mini drones, but this new UDI controller feels much more solid and substantial than others I've had. It's simple and easy to use and the instruction booklet (with it's comical translations and tiny font) does a good job for showing you how to calibrate and trim then fly. This mini drone is my new favorite indoor flyer. And i'll be getting one for my 7 year old god-son before I let him play with the Phantom.Well done, UDI. You've made the slowest drone ever......and it's great.

Charger stopped working after less than 24 hours
UODATE- if you leave a bad review, prepare to be contacted by this company over and over. I had said in the review below that I would update, and this company emailed me twice. When I didn't answer or update, they texted me on my cell phone, on my private number, after everybody had already gone to sleep for the night. Because I have an elderly mother, I don't turn my phone off and have it set to beep repeatedly until I wake up, in case there is an emergency. On top of that I had just gotten home from emergency room, and was exhausted. I blocked their number and didn't reply or update. They then emailed me again a week after. The new drone does work better than the first one, although it does sometimes not respond to the controller. It's still not perfect. But I'm not increasing my stars because of the repeated attempts to contact me to get me to change the review. (They repeatedly asked me if I had gotten the drone, but I don't buy that. They have tracking. They could see I had it. They just wanted me to change the review.) Especially the text message late at night on my personal cell phone.ORIG8NAL REVIEW-We gave this to my son for his birthday on Wednesday night. By Thursday night, the charger no longer worked. When he would plug it in, the charging light wouldn't come on and the Drone would no longer charge. This was a great toy and super fun and everybody was very very very disappointed that it stopped working so quickly. A replacement is on its way. I'm hoping that our first one was just randomly faulty, and this next one will work wonderfully and last a long time. If by some chance that's the case, I will update their review.

super easy to fly.
I have read that the charging port does not hold up. I will admit that it does look fragile. but if you take your time and work with it slowly it seems fine. I will say my next mini drone will have replaceable batteries for just this reason. that being said this thing is a gem. It takes minimal effort to trim and fly. I have landed it in my hand like 3 times the first charge and I have very little drone experience. sometimes you can get disoriented with it but just hit the landing button and start over. hitting the landing button then sticking my hand out to have it gently rest there was a treat. hopefully plug holds up!!

Simple to use, not for outdoors
What I like and what everyone else likes is that it's very easy to control. It automatically takes off, levels itself and keeps itself steady. It stays in place in mid-air. A six year old could probably control this. The remote looks and feels similar to an analog video game controller. The two thumb joysticks swivel 360 degrees, not just up, down, left or right. The analog sticks really give it a lot more control. It's very accurate on turns and spins. There is a shoulder button that adjusts the speed setting and another button for launching and landing. All those functions work without a problem. It's probably best used indoors. A strong breeze outdoors could easily take it away and it will get lost. You will have to be very careful and fly close. I like it for myself and it's probably a good kids toy. I can't imagine a kid not having fun with this.

Great Indoor Drone
I've never owned a drone, but didn't want to spend a ton of money for a full sized one I would maybe use once a week if I was lucky. I've flown a few really nice ones and wanted to have one nevertheless. Overall this is actually a great mini drone. Ot fits in the palm of your hand and handles really well. I can fly it through our house at a pretty high speed and it handles all of it . Granted, I slammed it into a wall my second flight, but that was user error and it still looks and flys well.I did take it outside on a day with a small breeze, but it couldnt fly into it. I had to land it to retrieve it. This is an I door drone tho so I will not fault it.If you never had one and want to attach a string to it and drive your pets nuts this is definitely for you. I dont think I could have found a better one for what I wanted, which was to goof around with inside when I'm bored.

Excellent buy!
It’s good quality toy keeping my boy engaged for hours. The charging time vs the flying time is just right. Highly recommended!
