Tefuawe Flip Up Chopped Fiberglass Sugar Scoop Welding Helmet, Medium Cut top and Bottom Sugar Scoop Pipeline Welding Hood

I’ve had my pipeliner for 17 years. I love it. I don’t like change but my wife got me this for an early Christmas gift. As far as longevity I can’t say. I hope it is as tuff as my pipeliner. When I say this is without a doubt the most comfortable hood I’ve ever worn I mean it. I have a feeling that the headgear might be the weak point. I really hope not that is what makes it so comfortable. It’s light, already chopped and has a flip front. I put the same brand auto gold lens in it. Which by the way is awesome I’ve been using it for almost a year. They should send me some stuff to try out. I’m rough on stuff if they make a good product I can find out. I really hope that it lasts cause I really like it. I’ve only used it for three days. I will definitely give an update in a few months. Update Well it has been 6 months now. I weld 6 days a week. And this hood has held up extremely well. The headgear I was worried about no issues whatsoever. I added some more pictures to show how the pain isn’t like a Honeywell hood. You weld in a pipeliner for 10 minutes with a 6010 and it looks like you’ve had it a year. This one I have mainly burnt 1/8 6010 5P+ and 3/32 7018. All positions and it still looks really good. I still can’t stress enough. This is the most comfortable hood I have ever worn. I find myself still walking around with it on because I forgot it was there. It may not be for everyone. I saw one review that said you can’t wear it on a hard hat. Fortunately I don’t have to wear one. So I can’t say that for sure. And for the people who need the top of the line Keep up with the Joneses, then this probably isn’t for you but if you want a damn comfortable tough hood, not a lot of money at all this is it.

Superior quality at this price point! Head gear very comfortable, if a little quirky in functionality. The last stage of the flip down swing is a bit sticky. I filed the detent bump on the mechanism, works great now. Flip front mechanism is tight and positive in mechanical function.. And the plastic lens fixture "spring" feels extremely robust, if a bit tedious in it's use, as it snaps in very firmly. ( Requires a tool to remove.) Very light weight, I don't see it wearing out any time soon! Will be a customer for life. Buying thir ADF next..

I've been a welder for 24 years now and other than this Hood being slightly on the heavy side it is by far my favorite Hood I love the feature of the welding lens flipping up and allowing you to also have a grinding shield it's a two-in-one combo and anytime you can make one tool have multiple functions that's a plus in my book!

Wish I would have gotten one several years ago.

I've been a welder for 22 years now and this is the best welding hood I've ever owned! It is very lightweight very comfortable seems as if it will be extremely durable and very functional! I didn't know headgear could fit so great it's very very comfortable! The construction of it seems as if it will be extremely durable and will take plenty of abuse which is not uncommon and a welder's life. The shape of the hood hugs the contours of your head and allows you to get in tight spaces while shielding your ears from those pesky balls of molten metals that want to go down in your ear holes.

I’ve had this hood for several months now, the quality is amazing it holds up extremely well and I bail a lot of weld wire. I’ve got my own lens in it, I also drilled some holes in the side to make it stay in the same place and replaced it with a miller headpiece, I have a small head so the one it came with didn’t fit quite right, only reason I give four stars. Other than that I love this hood, going to buy the black one next!

First of all let me start off with saying that the weight savings you get with this helmet compared to others is amazing. I used to run a fibre metal tiger hood and it weighed in at 1lb 5.3oz and this helmet weighs 1lb 1.5oz. A lot easier on my neck. I’m a Field Welder and this thing is also fairly durable and has stood up to everything I’ve thrown at it. The head gear that comes with the helmet has lots of adjustment so before you use it make sure you adjust it to your head size accordingly and you’ll be golden. The only complaint I have is the chop is a little high so if you don’t wear a neck gaiter or a hoodie you’ll burn your neck but I guess that’s the trade off for a lighter hood. I would have preferred a different colour but honestly it’s for work not for show.

The flip lasted about 2months and now it doesn't shut right, the pins fall out and need pushed in daily. If you need a serious welding screen DON'T waste your money on this.

I've gone through a few different Amazon welding helmets so far this being one of the best it is very lightweight. It's very convenient when it comes to different lenses that are compatible with the 4x2 and the stocking system that interlocks it you can mix match you know your magnifier your cheater your auto darkening lens your front and back safety clear lens the headgear is great and easy to balance on your head wearing it all day or have to take it on and off at work as a pipe and structural fitter running a table in a Fab shop you can easily get your respirator under there definitely recommend this brand and this helmet
