I'm not going to lie: At first I was disappointed with how little there is in this 2 ounce bag. I thought I was getting more, BUT when I saw how much organic mushrooms cost at the supermarket, plus the work it takes to dry and make it into a ground powder then it's clear why these mushrooms cost what they do. Plus, even with 1/4 of a teaspoon, I get immediate relief.It's exactly the way it's described: a sense of relaxation and calm, and everything becomes clear and quiet: It really helps your mind focus and makes your brain more sharp but without the jitters of caffeine as there is no caffeine in this product, which is exactly what I wanted. I had never tried reishi before (once I was going to try it at an acupuncture place), but unfortunately I was kinda scared of it. Now, I am in love. Reishi is great for balancing my hormones, and man, did I really feel the effect of this when I got my period. My hormones were all over the place, and I decided to take a little more (half a teaspoon), and damn was this amazing at helping me as if I didn't have my period. My mood changed and got more positive, and I didn't feel the fatigue I was feeling before. This works. Sure, it's not cheap, but for me it lasts a long time because a little goes a long way for me. I kinda see it as if I'm micro-dosing daily with 1/4 of a teaspoon and then when I get my period, I take half a teaspoon, and it works like a miracle.If you read more about medicinal mushrooms---especially reishi---you can tell there's a lot of healing properties to them. I mean have you seen a picture of reishi in the wildi? It looks so trippy. You can tell this mushroom is going to do some good.- V

Okay, a lot of reviews point out that the math doesn't add up. It would be nice if they just figured that out and rejected that on the label. Done. As for the product itself? Amazing! This review is for the Balance blend. I started using adaptogenic powder blends a few years ago and they made a huge difference in my hormonal balance, stress management and overall well-bring when I paired it with eating well, exercising, and sleeping - I had already been doing all those things, but within a month of adding adaptogenic powder blends, I was just so much more energetic and balanced. Then I got pregnant and stopped taking the powders, had my baby, and then finally decided it was time. The company I used to buy changed their formula, and instead of feeling invigorated, I felt like my brain was on steroids and crashed hard an hour later. So I tried this. This has been nothing short of a miracle. Along with the baby came a military move from Hawaii to Seattle, and I couldn't deal with the SAD, no matter how much fish I ate or vitamin D I took. I was up to 3-4 cups of coffee a day. I added half a scoop to my morning coffee and I'm down to 1.5 cups a day, the rain comes in and instead of feeling like there's a vice on brain, I just feel... Normal. It's amazing. So yeah, the price per serving is totally misleading. And it tastes a little like cinnamon dirt, but it blends into my coffee well and, really, what do you expect? It's mushrooms. But I'm going to keep buying this stuff. It is saving my sanity.

This container is so small. Not only is the container small but the product is like only 2/3 max of the container. It seems silly for the price. Not only is the product small and not fully filled but it also has a very herbal taste that is hard to cover up. If you can get past those two things the blend is lovely. Sadly I won’t be purchasing again.

I love this blend so much! I am a daily 2 cups of coffee drinker and I notice a big difference in my overall “balance” when I use this in my second cup of coffee. It really does help mellow out the caffeine rush and supports my adrenals so I avoid that typical afternoon crash. It had a nice subtle earthy/spiced/warm flavor. I often recommend this to people I know irl.

I'd found the instant coffee focus blend mixture with low caffeine, which was perfect for me. My caffeine tolerance was too high and I was needing a reset. So I went cold turkey off caffeine for 8 days to reset my tolerance and it worked.I was ready to start reincorporating caffeine into my daily routine, but the info I was reading said I needed to keep my daily intake under 100mg to lessen tolerance keep my cups as imapctful as possible. Four sigmatic was one of the few instant blends I'd been able to find where the recommended serving was a specific, measured amount of caffeine. I very much appreciate that.So after a few months of really enjoying the Focus instant coffee, I decided to try their other products. There were times where I wanted some coffee and a healthy mushroom boost but without any caffeine at all. And since Four Sigmatic doesn't offer that blend in decaf, I thought I could create an ideal brew by using my favorite decaf roast and added a Four Sigmatic mushroom blend to it. My decaf is a suisse water decaffeinated blend that tastes exactly like caffeinated coffee, so I wouldn't be depending on Four Sigmatic to get the coffee part right. Just give me the mushroom blend for a superfood boost and I'm good, right?Not quite.This adaptogen blend tastes like tea. Cinnamon is one of the ingredients in here, and you can smell and taste it. It doesn't blend well with coffee, even though it says it will in the marketing material. If you're expecting an additive that hides in your hot drink and just gives it a boost, this is not the product. This blend will announce itself loudly, and you'll be left with a flavor combination that doesn't work well together at all.So I lessened my serving to 1/2 the recommended amount in an effort to make the coffee/adaptogen mix work. It's...tolerable. But it is definitely a fragrant and flavorful additive that will not sit quietly while you enjoy your cup. It's better to think of this mix as its own drink rather than an addition.

I have been using this calm mushroom blend daily in my morning coffee. Dissolves quickly in my hot coffee. I’ve ordered through Amazon a few times and always sent correct one, however, this last time they sent me a different one. ☹️ not cool Amazon!

I really wanted to like this product, but it did not work for me.Pros: It dissolves well in warm water. The taste is earthy and not bad.Cons: I felt like a zombie the next day.I took the Adaptogen Blend in the evening. I slept really good, soundly. However, the next morning, I felt exhausted to the point of unfunctional. I had to take the day as an R&R day. I could not function. The feeling I had was just really tired, and mentally zoned-out. As if I had partied all night-long and was trying to function on 2-3 hours of sleep.The zombie feeling was horrible, so I will not try Adaptogen Blend again, I'm afraid of getting that same result. I don't have the luxury of taking R&R days whenever I feel like it.As I mentioned, I really wanted this Adaptogen Blend to work for me. This may work for someone else, just not me. I am disappointed, as I only used the product once. I am now left with a product that I can not use.For reference: I am in my 50s, and I do not have issues sleeping. I bought the product to help with daily environmental stress. I used the small scoop that comes with the product, I took exactly 1 scoop to make my tea.A suggestions: Perhaps is to have samples at a price of 1 packet at $1 or $2.I bought the Four Stigmatic Mushroom Blend Defend as well. I will be writing a review for it. I did not do very well with it either. Again, another disappoint and $26 down the tubes.UPDATE: I tried to write a review for the Four Stigmatic Mushroom Blend Defend, but it no longer appears on my list for product reviews. I slept very well. The next morning, I woke-up sluggish and out of sorts. I did not feel zombie-like as the Adaptogen Blend left me. I just felt lethargic and just not feeling like my normal energetic self. As opposed to the Adaptogen Blend, I did not have to take an R&R day, but I felt blah all day.As the Adaptogen Blend, I will not be taking the Defend Blend again. I do not like this feeling of lethargy. I can't function like this.I used the small scoop that comes with the product, I took exactly 1 scoop to make my tea Defend Blend tea.Again, this is how my body has reacted to these blends. It may help others. Another disappointment with this company and product. I highly suggest sample packets so people can sample first before having to pay $26 for 2oz cans.My purpose of buying the Defend Blend was to supply my aging body with good immune support.

I originally gave this product a really bad review because when I opened it the tin wasn't very full so I was pretty disappointed. But then when I found the scoop it was rather tiny, so I realized that you must not need much. I ended up drinking it by itself with a little mocha creamer and used two scoops. It has an earthy-tea type of aroma and tastes very light. I actually ended up really enjoying it by itself. It would go great in coffee but I'm trying to get away from coffee so I'm actually loving this.
