These work pretty well. So far, I have used them on 1/4” wall 2” x 2” steel, and they held the steel up off the table. They do stain and burn much easier than the Strong Hand brand. But, overall worth the savings.

These magnetic welding aids with switch feature are an outstanding value. The shape and function are the familiar, typically used by welders. The feature that makes these much more useful is functional magnetic switch. The capability of turning the magnets "off" makes far more useful to me. I used the non-switched I had for years and hated the difficulty of removing chips or grinding dust before every use. That I can keep them clean by simply turning the switch off means I now use more often on the welding bench, and on my drill press, and my metal cut off saw. as stops and positioners. I also now attach to the bench and use them to hold small parts to clean off mill spec and rust - very convenient- which I would not do with the non switched. I bought one pair of these to test and found their holding strength to be about the the same as the non-switched versions I had been using. It is rare that I buy a tool and am happy about spending on yet another tool - this was an exception. I have since bought three more pair and disposed of the non-switched angles I had been using. I think this YES brand tool is an outstanding value.

They will hold a corner but they not hold 60lbs. I think most of these that claim that are either exaggerating or using some weird test standard that doesn’t really apply for real world use. Again I gave it 4 because it is square and works just fine on its side to hold a corner.

Compared to the Stong hand which I also own the switch is easier to use, but the magnet is way weaker. The magnet is barely strong enough to be useful. At times it will annoy you. Build quality isn't near as good as the Strong Hand. On a tight budget these are adequate for home use. But keep your expectations very low. For a pro I would pass unless maybe you're just starting out and can't afford the Strong Hands. As in you literally don't have the extra funds on a credit card.

This magnet is so weak it go blown over with the air hose. It's so weak it won't even hold the piece I'm welding. Waste of money.

Very happy with it. It's noticeably a bit stronger than the non switchable magnets that I have. That surprised me cause those are larger. The ease of cleaning it is another plus. Should have bought one of these a long time ago.

Very strong, and holds quite well. For the money it's a great set up aid.

They were delivered very quickly and do the basic job, I find they are not as strong as I imagined, but able to do the job, on a budget.

They work yes but the stickers peel off and then the switch gets junk in it making it hard to turn better off going with something else if using frequently
