Excellent fast-ish charger for my EV6
Rather than spend $400+ on a fixed charger with fancy smart features and apps that will stop working when the company goes bankrupt or ends operations in North America, I decided to go with a highly rated cheap level 1/2 combo portable-ish charger that can do double duty at home and on the go. Charges up to 32 amps like a champ with very little heat. Barely gets over 100ยฐF on the outside, and that's outdoors in the shade in Florida (90ยฐ ambient). Left it out in the rain a couple times, on the ground while charging, and no issues. Also mounts nicely to the garage wall and acts as a fixed indoor L2 charger on a 14-50 outlet in the garage. Selectable amperage with a button is simple but effective, and really allows you to dial in the wattage based on how much your outlet or circuit can handle. After using it for a few weeks with no issues, I decided to grab a second one as a backup, just in case. Both cost me less than one Juicebox, and seem to work as well. One sits in my frunk in its rather nice zippered carrying case, and the other stays mounted on my garage wall. We'll see how it holds up long term, but considering I do less than 10k miles per year and charge maybe 1-2 times a week at most, I suspect that it will do just fine. I can start and stop charging and see input wattage and time remaining on my car's app, so not having another app for the charger is just fine. If I want to change the amperage, I can just go into the garage, pause charging, and press the button until the amperage I want comes on the display. Cord is long enough to be convenient but not so long to be a burden, and the charging handle feels solid and good quality. No frills, just works.

Works great, but manual is not very helpful
I almost returned this item because I couldn't figure out how to stop charging my car early. I read the broken-English manual and it states that to stop charging, to first unplug the charger from the outlet, then unplug the other end from the car. I tried, and it worked. Problem is, I don't want to have to unplug a big 50A receptacle every time I disconnect my car. After playing around with it a while, I found that I can press and hold the "A" button for several seconds, and it will then prompt on screen to "stop charging?" at which point I can confirm by pressing and holding "A" again. The other problem I had was that I couldn't at first get it to charge at any other rate than 10A (2.3kW). The manual said to press "A" to change the current limiter to a different level. I kept pressing the "A" button to make it cycle to other power levels but it didn't change from 10A (this is how I accidentally discovered the solution above to cancelling a charging session). It turns out, you need to select the charge level BEFORE charging, not while charging (when it is not connected to the car). Now that I know this, I can easily cycle it the target 32A (7.7kW) charge level. It includes a mounting cradle for the main charger "brick" and a separate cradle for the car connector, with a lip to hold the cable nicely. This means it works as a wall-mounted charger most of the time, but I can just unplug it and lift it out of the cradle (no tools), put it in the nice carrying case that it comes with, and throw it in the frunk as an emergency mobile charger for road trips. It includes the adapter to charge off a normal 15A household outlet for this purpose. In either 110V or 220V modes, it lets you limit the charging rate (only while NOT connected to the car, but that's fine now that I know). Had I known it had the feature of limiting current, I would have bought the bigger 40A version instead of the 32A version. I wanted to run limited to 32A because I have other loads on the same sub-panel and didn't want the breaker to trip. I would have bought the 40A and limited it to 32A in the winter when my shop heater on the same panel might kick on and let it run 40A in the summer.

Super happy with this purchase!
There were many options to choose from to Level 2 charge my 2018 Chevrolet Bolt. This charger was priced well and had many positive ratings. This charger works great. The main feature I like is that I can adjust the charging amperage based on where I plug in. Addition to review ( 06/03/26 ) I had to add this to the review because it shows the quality of service I received. The LED screen failed on the face of my original charger. My concern was that I could not properly set the charge amperage for the circuit in my home. I emailed the company and they promptly replied and then sent out a new charger to replace the one that failed. I am very happy with the exceptional customer service I received. I am still extremely happy with the purchase.

Heavy duty cord and connector construction. Look at the shipping weight.
The charging cord and connector (J1772) are solid construction compared to prior chargers that I have bought. Some have a very light J1772 connector. This one is solid and the cord is thicker than the on on my Chevy 32A charger. The main feature of this charger that I like is the range of charging rates I can set. I have two charging plugs on a 40A breaker for when my son visits with his Volt. By setting the charger down to 13 amps my son can also charge his Volt , which only draws 14A, at the same time. When he is not visiting I bump the charger back up to 32A. I also wanted this level setting ability for traveling. I wanted to be able to set a level that can meet the available outlet without overloading it. If an outlet can only handle 6A (the lowest setting on the charger) then I want to be able to use it. Any electricity is better than none. This also allows me to use my 1800watt pure sine generator in case of emergencies. The key things I like. 1. The 6A to 32A range setting ability 2. The build quality is excellent. 3. The 25 ft cord. 4. High quality carry case when traveling. I checked the shipping weight of the chargers when I was looking because this would indicate the materials used for construction. This charger was 12.76 lb. Other chargers are much less. I had purchased another charger a month earlier that was only 7 lb. It failed after 2 weeks of use and the J1772 connector was very cheap.

Ground Fault issue. Electrical contractor checked receptacle. There is no ground fault issue.
The unit does not work. I was told it was under warranty and then no response

My 25โ charge cable measures 21โ
the unit seems well made and draws just under 32 amps per leg. I bought to replace an older charger that was only 16 amp. 32 amp is all I need for 2021 Chevy bolt. However the charge cord came up 4โ short. This is advertised as having a 25โ cord. I have sent an inquiry as to what they want to do about this.

Very Impressive! EV charger DeLuxe.
This is one fine EV charger!! About 10 times more Heavy Duty than the one I had been using! I have a 2021 Chevy Volt and have been using the standard 120V charger which works OK. This one adds 240V as well as an adapter to also charge with 120V. It is quite heavy as well. Everything seems very well made including the charge connector which is used at every charge, so it's important that it be high quality - and it is. Strangely it was delivered in a previously shipped box with several amazon label cancel covers. I was dismayed to see this as I bought this new. Opening the pre-used box revealed a seemingly new charger however. When plugged in it works just as it should and came with all contents as listed. The carry/storage zipper case also appears new, so I am a satisfied buyer!

Great value EV charger with convenient features!
I've been using this charger daily for my Mustang Mach E. The portable charger that came with the vehicle (and the vehicle itself) don't allow any way to limit the amperage of the charger. This product fixes all of those problems. It has excellent build quality and is easy to use. The display is awesome, especially if your car provides limited info or hides it in an app. It's great to see at a glance the status of the charger and its current settings. The touch buttons can take a while to respond, but compared to physical buttons which might compromise water/dust resistance I can understand why touch was chosen for the controls. Important notes if you're like me and this is your first time owning an EV and charging at home... The delay and current values in the charger have to be set before connecting the charger (or while your car isn't actively charging). This confused me at first but I understand now why it works that way. Bottom line... For the price, I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a portable charger or even one for home use if you don't need more than 32 amps. For what this charger can do, I'm very impressed. My plans to upgrade to a higher current unit with smart features have been postponed indefinitely... This one exceeded my expectations enough to be my daily driver.
