Lunderg Chair Alarm Pad - Pager NOT Included

Bought this for my 95 year-old mother, who has advanced dementia and is also a fall risk. This works seamlessly with the bed alarm I previously purchased. She has episodes where, especially in the evening, she wants to return to her childhood home to see her parents and tries to 'escape'. This brand and these alarms work great, and will help prevent falls, wandering, or other issues by alerting us quickly when we don't have eyes directly on her.

97-year-old father-in-law with advanced dementia. Nuff said. This product has been a godsend! It allows much more freedom of movement about the house so that it’s not eyes on 24/7. It’s so much more easier with these. For anyone who is watching him. They work perfectly. Are very easy to install an operate. Can’t recommend them highly enough. My mom is in assisted living and needs help to stand. She recently has lost her ability to walk as well. We ordered this chair alarm so that the care givers will know if she is trying to stand up, or if she gets out of her chair (which no means that she is probably on the floor) It works great, I've been there visiting and when we help her up out of the chair (to the wheel chair) a caregiver promptly shows up to assist. Very grateful for this device!

I got this for my mother who needs assistance walking. If you take your eyes off her she will get up and try walking on her own. Since we have this alarm chair pad, we can leave the room without having to peek in every few minutes to check on her. The alarm works great and can be heard throughout her home. It really is a life changer for my family and the aids. Instructions say to put on the back of the chair where the pad would be behind her head/back. Instead, we put the pad under a thin blanket on the seat and it works perfectly. I highly recommend this product and the bed alarm. One alarm works with both pads, is small and has a clip you can clip on your belt or pocket.

UPDATE: Seller/manufacturer Lundberg contacted me to offer refund on replacement chair pad. If any of your units malfunction after the Amazon return date, I suggest you contact Lundberg for help. Used in recliner seat, duct taped to seat to prevent sliding when chair is reclined. Have had to replace every 6 months with daily use. (Bed pad is durable and still works after 13 months.) The alarm system is great because my 95 yr old mom is at high risk of falls but usually can't remember--or doesn't think she needs--to use a manual call button.
