This is excellent and so easy to set up. I am using it on my MacBook Pro and turn the unit on as and when i need the 4 drives.

I purchased the single dock/drive version of this modes which is the DC-UC1B. The unit comes with a powr cable and two USB cables so the unit can be connected to a computer using a USB C or A port. Once powered up and connected I dropped in an old HDD and te unit recognised it and I was able to browse the files without any issues. Overall the dock feels much lighter than I expected but this is not a problem in operation although I can imagine that the multi dock versions might feel a little top heavy. All in all this meets my needs and I amhappy to recommend.

Once I put a UK plug adapter on the power wire all ran well. Nice and compact, nice design. Shame there’s no UL adapter in box but no biggie, those are dirt cheap off eBay :) Update 1 month in: After very occasional use since purchase the units fan is now making a very loud whirring noise to the point I've had to use it without the fan (which is a big reason I bought it in the first place). Update: the whirring noise lasted a few day but since then no odd noise at all. This is a highly convenient way of dealing with raw 2.5” drives and also transporting them if need be. If you rescue some drive from old laptops you’ll have yourself a very And fast cheap backup solution or storage. Reminds me of switching isolinear chips on the Enterprise, but I’m geeky like that.

Its is piece of kit and does what it says on the tin. Its system name of 'final lap to go ' is a bit off putting and they informed me it may not change. Had problems in windows 10 off a USB 3 hub with drive errors , there are no specific drivers other than those windows uses. Cured the problem by plugging directly into USB 3 port and all appears ok now and working well. My drives are a mixed bunch of ssd and 1 hdd but all appear ok. Fan is noisy but someone has a fix for it on the web, simple job shame the company do not do it. Warning : have now had this product 15 months and am getting consistent controller errors on all drives, have contacted Sabrent direct who were very helpful at first but once they found an out of their warranty, english/european Warranty law does not count according to them. Make sure you register your product within 90 days or else no warranty. You have been warned. Will now look for an alternative to this.

It’s so easy to use. I literally installed 1 drive. It showed up. I installed second drive it showed up as a different drive. 3 and 4 the same. Works with the Mac and tested it on friend’s windows machine. IT DID’NT LET US DOWN. Transferred easily with Apple Music and Apple TV. Installed new movies overnight. (68 movies and internet speed dependent) So shows all 4 drives individually across the network ( set up but by the connection to the Mac) Accessed easily across the network, no glitches so far. I like it because it’s 1 unit, 1 connection, no trailing wires. No confusion, the fan can be switched on/ off manually. The only issue with this unit is it will hot swap it’s self with no problems . But Mac ‘s don’t like this. And throws a fit. It’s best to eject the drive on the Mac Then swap it. Mac will detect the new drive. Windows machine didn’t have this problem. But to be honest I’ve had this problem with Mac’s and other drives. If your a Mac user you’ll already know this. I’d recommend this unit and it’s brilliant for media content.

Really good, pretty quick transfer, hot swop without interruption to the secondary drive. SABRENT stuff is always good!

I've got 4 SSD drives in, it works perfectly first time, the neat magnetic coupling on the fan unit makes it easily removeable, and all the cables included meqant it only took 5 minutes to have it running perfectly on my Windows 10 PC. GREAT price, GREAT product!

Want to give this more stars overall, but loaded up with some SSDs, switched on and connected to the computer. Then I turned the fan on... and quickly off again. Going to need to find somewhere other than my desk to run this thing - even at full fan speeds my computer is quieter than this box of disks. The description on the box mentions that disks are hot swappable - if I unplug one drive the whole device is unloaded which suggests otherwise. Not sure if it is related yet but have one disk that repeatedly disappears from my desktop - not something that happened in my previous solution.

La unidad funciona muy bien, conectada en un Mac Mini M4 reconoce los 4 discos sin ningún problema y la velocidad de transmisión de datos es también muy buena. Recomiendo la compra por el precio que tiene y la calidad.

I am using 2 of these since about 2 to 3 month and they just work fine.

Enkel att läsa satadiskar 2,5" samt 3,5" bara att trycka i samt läser nvme minnen. Köpte på rea (halva priset)och då var priset det rätta.

Funciona perfectamente. Los acabados no están muy acorde respecto al precio, por lo que cuesta podría tener unos acabados un poco mas premium, se siente muy plasticoso y muy ligero aunque cumple su función. La velocidad de transferencia es correcta, copiando archivos pesados desde el PC a uno de los discos alcanza sobre los 650mbs, copiando archivos pesados a 2 discos a la vez la velocidad se divide entre los 2.

Great product, no issues whatsoever, will definitely buy this brand again!
