Traitors Aboard Social Deduction Party Game, Pirate Card Game, 3-8 Players

If you have experience with Mafia, Werewolf, One Night Ultimate, The Resistance, Avalon, or Feed the Kraken, you're probably already familiar with hidden role games. Traitors Aboard is worthy of a place on your shelf, even if you already have those other games and for one very good reason. 1) Nobody has to close their eyes. Most hidden role games, the other team gets a chance to look across the table and make eye contact. But not in this game, and it helps make the game a breeze to get underway. You are either a pirate or a mutineer. The pirate's want to get enough gold in their chest or cast off all the mutineers. The mutineers want to stop the pirates from having enough gold or cast off enough of the pirates. Gameplay is pretty straightforward. You have a hand of three cards. Cards either go into the chest (as gold cards that add to the value of chest or filler cards that either add zero or lower the value), or cards are action cards that are played outside the chest. These actions help provide insight into who put what into the chest or declaring your suspicions about someone. There is player elimination in this game, so it's possibly someone could get knocked out early and then have to sit around. But the game is pretty fast and it usually goes down hill once people start getting cast off. The box is a great size, small and could fit in a picket or a backpack/purse for light travel. It's strictly just a card game, and you can even throw them in a plastic bag or card carrying case. I've certainly gotten my money's worth. I've played this with as young as 8 and they did well, but needed help with reading. If you don't mind helping a young reader (or if your kids are capable readers already), there's nothing too advanced in this game. Great for a family game night. I brought it to a family gathering and we played it four times in a row!

This game is so much fun! You have play this game with a ton of people and its fairly easy to play. All different ages are able to learn and join the fun! I enjoy being able to bring this to social party events and not worry about people having to spend an hour learning how to play. They can sit down, learn the rules, and start playing in 10 minutes or less! If you enjoy games like Amoung us, the you will likely enjoy this card game!

Easy to pick up, very fun game! Great for small groups or big gatherings.

I saw this game on Tik Tok and decided to buy it as it looked fun. Well it is fun, unfortunately and I’d say like with most games it’s fun in larger groups. We played a 3 player game and it’s quite simple and not as fun but with 4 players and up it starts getting way better, it’s the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars, but I still highly recommended it. I actually hope they expand on it later on but it’s a game that is simple to learn and pretty entertaining.

Fun and hilarious game for a weekend friends gathering!

Very fun

This is a fun game but not necessarily for adults. The game makes it pretty difficult for the mutineers to win especially in a group where you know everyone's tells even if you are a really good liar. The game also becomes increasingly easy as you have less people to play with. I tried with 6 people and it was still pretty easy to figure out who the 2 mutineers were.

If you like board games such as "The Resistance," "Avalon," "Secret Hitler," "Two Rooms and a Boom, etc then this game may be for you. This game is suitable for children or adults. Five of us played the game and thoroughly enjoyed trying to deduce the traitor or whether the treasure met the threshold. I look forward to playing with six people as the game seems to be most difficult for the pirates then. A minor issue in the game is that traitors may not call to open the treasure at their turn; pirates may easily deduce the traitor if they are asked to announce the reveal of the treasure on their turn. That said, there are ways to address this by implementing certain house rules.

I love imposter games like this (town of salem, among-us, mafia/werewolf, etc.) so I was hoping to love this. I still like it, but I feel like it is a bit half-baked. The pirate theme is done well and the art is great, but the actual gameplay of finding the mutineer is lacking. The real only way to figure out who is a mutineer is by using action cards, but the action card variety is so scarce and sometimes it is hard to figure out what to do with information you have just been given from using the action cards. I have played this game with about 30 different people, and while everyone has enjoyed it and wanted to play again, about half to two-thirds of the people didn't really know what they needed to do to find the mutineer or how the mutineer was supposed to lie if they somehow were under susupicion. Again, enjoyable, but needs work since it does not deliver on the "bluffing" promise as much as I'd hoped.

Muy divertido. Entre más personas es mucho mejor. Yo jugaría con mínimo cuatro, ya que si no, el juego es demasiado rápido y no hay tensión.

Bought the english version on discount Pretty happy bout it! Dont get this if you are planning to play it with 3 people. Better with (5-7)

Traitors Aboard is a fun game to play with Teens and Adults. Easy to learn and does not take too long to play. We really enjoyed it!

If your a fan of the traitors this is a great game with the same aspect, I find this game is a lot more fun with small or large groups as it has the hidden element of you don't know what cards have been put down till the end. It's a great game for families I'd highly recommend
